Premium squad idea for Japan: NIKUDAN-SANYUSHI

As an idea for a new premium squad for the Japanese military, we propose the “NIKUDAN-SANYUSHI”.
The “NIKUDAN-SANYUSHI” refers to the three men who plunged their own bodies into the battlefield as artillery shells.
SuicideBombers1
The name comes from the fact that during the Sino-Japanese War, three Japanese soldiers carried a Bangalore torpedo in a suicide bombing attack to destroy the barbed wire fence built by the Chinese Nationalist Revolutionary Army. Crazy!

They are the ones I would like to propose as the premier squad.
They will have a new “vehicle*1”, the Bangalore torpedo, and the three of them will proceed to run on foot in a line.
When they finish running, it explodes and destroys everything around them with a blast radius of 250kg.
The assault of the three bullet-happy heroes will not stop until all three have been killed, and even if a bullet hits the Bangalore torpedo, it will explode on the spot.
Shoot them in the leg!

It is difficult to move three soldiers at the same time, so it is best if all three can move in this pose as if they were in an invisible vehicle.

Now we found the self-destruct monster
Can shooting a torpedo with a gun kill the Japanese next to you?

If you shoot them when they are in a group of Japanese troops, you can aim for a mass kill, involving the surrounding soldiers.
But if you allow them to get close…it will be fatal!

As a side note, I was going around auctions as a hobby and found a Japanese toy from the 1930s-1940s.
These are prizes that came with famous Japanese caramel candies.

Reflecting the era, there are many war-related items.
As mentioned in the OP, one of them was NIKUDAN-SANYUSHI.

These suicide bombers were very popular among the Japanese at the time, and many companies made a profit by merchandising them.
According to one theory, they were not suicidal, but simply unable to reach the minimum safe distance after placing their bombs because the fuses were too short. (This is a common sight in Enlisted.)
The fact that they were treated as heroes when they died, no matter how they died, to improve morale, is indicative of the crazy Japanese society of the time.

This post is a joke, and I really don’t want to premier NIKUDAN-SANYUSHI, but if you think about it, this was already in the game. :open_mouth:

I believe I heard a story from a Marine who served at Iwo Jima, where Japanese soldiers had explosive vests on. Is any of it true?

I am Japanese, but I am not an expert on the Japanese military, so I do not know. :stuck_out_tongue:
