But pistols can fire 2-3x as fast as the revolver, so in that case the revolver would be absolutely useless.
I feel like the issue with pistol is that they have too much visual and actual recoil. they should be mini laser pointers that you have to shoot a person a lot of times before they de.
The pistols are more lightweight while shooting the same cartridge as the SMGs. They also have no buttstock to help you manage the recoil. So they should have more recoil, not less.
Their lack of range as well as relatively low capacity already makes them emergency weapons.
Imo they should stay weaker than shotguns but still be perfectly viable CQC weapons.
Pistols needing 5 shots to kill something is nonsensical CoD logic.

Simply having the lower rate of fire, shorter range, higher recoil and semi-auto nature should make them enough weaker than SMGs. And then the revolver would handle like a semi auto / LMG turned bolt action, with the very low rate of fire but higher damage.
Realistically a pistol will be better than a long rifle in CQC.
Astra 300 is surprisingly punchy at range.

After playing with it for some time,
I have to say Astra 300 is probably the best pistol in Enlisted.
It kills in 3-4 shots, has very little recoil and works great as an emergency weapon for my tank driver
I think all pistols in this game should be buffed to match this gun
