Soldiers in Enlisted can unlock a secondary slot in addition to their primary. This is a nice feature, however, in situations like this bots will often switch from their primaries by themselves, which is very annoying in battle.
Please, make it so that all soliers (like AT Gunners) don’t switch to their secondaries by themselves.

They do, you won’t see AT gunner use bazooka unless their main weapon ammo is exhausted and get into some bug.
For normal small arms they do prefer the second weapon, so paratrooper after getting assault pack will increase their firepower

Thats not really true, only applicable to assult and recon loadout (which frankly does not explain why eveyone else seemingly randomly switches away from primaries).
I’ve also done this with AVT/VPGS setups, bots still pick the VPGS even though it has no full auto, is on a lower BR etc. They don’t consciously decide to “improve” their firepower. It’s just random and should be fixed.

Because it’s not like they all switch to their secondary immediately, some do and some don’t in my experience.
Have you tested this?
For radioman, I use SF and primary and SA as secondary, basically every time I switch to them they are using secondary when they have triggered the battle.
We should have customization with preferred weapon for each ai soldier. Ideally always with range picked up by us (and priorities of weapon switching)
well you can abuse the system of using double weapon u know?
think on having a Uragan Smg with 64 bullets instead of 32 or even better a RD-44 with 200 bullets and no im not directly reffering to switch weapons that useless think on antoher way to “change” ur weapons hehe

But still, this unclear system is not ideal. Would be much better if we could pick preferred weapons oursleves and stop switching like @Dregomz said.
