Please replace the carcano M38 sniper

“Replace” is the wrong word here, it’s putting a lot of people off from this otherwise very reasonable suggestion.

Perhaps “Fix the Carcano M38 scope” would be a better title?

Again, I think you’re loosing a lot of people by the use of this word, you don’t want to replace the gun, you want to (some word suggestions):

  • Fix
  • Edit
  • Update

“Replace” makes it sound like you want to take something away from people, and that will never go down well.

Only when it doesn’t go with the agenda… see: body armor.

Body armor as cosmetic stays but not stats but nice try.

I saw some pics of the gun somewhere on the internet, and when I searched a bit more about it, a lot of people on some forum topics thought that this was a post-war conversion, because that is a german ZF41 scope, and there is zero information about such a modification being done during WW2.

Btw, nice find for the black and white pic of the entire gun with the Salmoiraghi scope, where did you find it ? Because I could only find the coloured pics just showing the scope attached to the rifle, not the entire rifle in a single pic.

Nobody would have body armor if it didn’t have an effect minus federov mg squad… nice try.

Here, I found the fake Carcano with ZF41 pic !

Now please, someone tell me where I can find that pic of the full gun with the Salmoiraghi scope (black and white pic).
Pretty please.

Scoped Italian rifles are far more rare today so find jack is hard but I forgot google translate can do so much

Yeah I’m aware the soldier is using a 1898 but same scope that kinda were I got it

I think we’re way past weapon accuracy in this game.

This was before the merger people forget fast huh?

You can check out my previous post, a friend has already provided this picture

Not really unless you are not understanding the concept of cosmetics.
But still, nice try dude.

Thanks, I can’t access the magazine on the page, because it says on the website “Publication access is currently limited”. I trust you, even if I would prefer seeing if with my own eyes, but thanks nonetheless. And now you can see on the link I posted where the fake Carcano M38 sniper ingame came from.

I and everyone else bought it for its effect… it looks like shit and makes your dudes stand out.

About the concept of cosmetics yes generally i think you’re right… however i once again reiterate my point and think it’s unfair you just ignore the obvious here and blow it off with some smart comment like nice try.

Nice try what? Letting you know what you should already know? What’s with the snark?

If cosmetics are purely cosmetic then we should also remove the extremely minor headshot reduction from helmets… which note i also bought for all of my guys for the effect.

It was actually me who dug it up for him, found it on this Italian military magazine, can’t read it because it’s in Italian though:

There would also be the MAB Mod.39 with optics but I have no further information

I found this one recently but I didn’t identify the rifle

On the back is the linear stamp “Northern Africa Higher Command - Special Photographic Section.”

What a shame then I guess. Still dont see everyone needs to suffer because couple of Soviets abuse the armor system and wasted money.

Like people who lost Stalingrad and Pacific perks forever? Or people who initally supported Enlisted for its campaign system?
Yeah Take a number.

Big words when this starter because you made some smart comment.

That you compare apples to cucumbers because you fear losing privileges.

Sure, but either at the same time as Soviet armor or after Soviet armor got nerfed because at least all factions have helmets and dont affect balance beyond pistols.

Helmet effects should go too; helmets protected against falling debris and falling shrapnel, neither of wich are a thing in game so their effects should be null too.

You don’t need to suffer… you need to come to the stage of grief which is acceptance.

Abuse? It’s taking advantage of a unique ability they were given.

I’ve said it before and was given very reasonable reasons as to why this isn’t very valid but here it is again

Soviets: SMG, AR and LMG powerhouses and their unique ability is body armor

Germany: All around with generally the best tank until the m26 rolled through… they had the best tank and america had the best plane (p-47) to counter.

But instead of accepting and overcoming the challenge like myself they would rather have whined and cried for two different versions of a vehicle that is irrelevant when the only reasonable solution to a tank is plane.

America: Rocket spam planes and one with a 500lb bomb!

Japan: Swords which equal faster run speed.

Apparently you can hit a body armor guy with 20 fg 42 bullets and he doesn’t die which i find just a total exaggeration coming from the pent up hatred people have towards it.

because i feel everyone who complains just sees it and their morale is destroyed and they already lost the gunfight and use it as a reason to come here and cry… i’ve never had a problem killing these guys and never will… i die in a fight with them it’s a result of my incompetence.
