Everyone owns the panzer 4j due to it being free in berlin campaign. Due to this i see panzer 4 j more commonly than any other tank while the soviets seem to only have t60s and t70s. Also it is historically inaccurate to see late war panzer 4 in early war maps like stalingrad

its kinda pointless to have the Panzer IV J in BR3 because it basically removes the Panzer IV F2 from the game - yet, having those tanks in BR4 instead also means the same.

Its just how compression goes sadly. Stuff somewhere along the line is redundant.
Id just cut to the chase and remove BR 3 from 1 and 2.

4 J is too bad for 4, 3 for is it fine, you can choose between extra armor or faster traverse with the F2/G.

Panzer IV J is perfectly reasonable on BRIII.
KV-1, T-34 STZ and M4A2 are much better than PzIVJ which is Axis’ best tank on the BRIII.
m4a2 is worse than panzer 4 in my opinion. The gun is really shitty

The HE is overpowered, literally best gun to blow up infantry inside the objective.
Similar performing guns have at least twice the reload, not to mention that AP goes through PzIV and any Japanese tank like knife on butter.
It goes through but does no damage
But axis armor is kinda shity aswell until they get to thier cats. So you will not be suck unable to pen certain tanks because of reasons (cough cough Stalinium or even worse guns for japan)

Another vehicle that’s a victim to the overly compressed nature of the BRs.
In a way, people who only just started Berlin prior to the merge gets to have a kwk40-equipped tank to start tier 3 with.
It just means it is the meta tank…
Most of the playerbase most likely are still veterans with atleased 1 faction maxed pre merge so unlocking what ever is best isnt hard that hard anyway for them.
I am not complaining about the pen i am complaining about the ap shell that does no splash damage. I have shot multiple times straight to ammo but get no kill
For this exact reason (Pz IV J only produced from januaty 1944) I wholeheartedly support to remove/replace it with Pz IV F2 or G.
J doesn’t make any sense outside of Normandy/Berlin.
But that brings Pz IV J to Stalingrad which defeats any purpose of a WW2 game.
Please unlink Stalingrad from BRs 3-4-5.
I still think the panzer IIIN is more devastating to a team (and thats BR 2)
Ive seen alot of guys in the IVj aswell…didnt really notice them doing much

And i have shot othere tanks several times only for my round to somehow stop/bounce or simply not exploding even if it pens. It sometimes is a gamble regardless of the tank.

What purpose would that serve? I would still be conquering Stalingrad with my Volkssturm.
Volkssturn weapons need to be locked only to Berlin and their suit cosmetics should change to regular feldgrau uniforms outside of Berlin as well.
The J has inferior turret traverse.
true, but it has a top mounted MG and a slightly stronger gun (L48 gun vs L43 gun about 10mm of extra penetration)
