Now share a clip of doing that couple of times and we can actually speak of effective way of taking planes down. Utube is full of luckyshots.

But no Iāve done this multiple times using rifles, mgs and once a SMG because the idiot was flying straight at me in one of those crappy biplanes.
Most people probably donāt try to do this and thus they think itās not possible.

nah, I think we found the middle ground. Planes indeed can be shot down by infantry and planes dont need bombs as they can kill with machine guns too.
Sounds about right, and youāre still more likely to to rack up points by being the plane than being the gunner wasting time looking at the sky.
Planes can be shot down by lmgs if they are flying towards you low and Iāve done it some times but itās a real waste of time if you want points. Points wise Iād be better off finding a position to mow down infantry, therefore most players wonāt bother trying. Increase points for downing planes.
Even without bombs planes would still win against most ground players, against tanks they need something to bomb with but reduce the blast radius and increase anti armor.
Using your method of argumenting, just because you personally wouldnāt be able to aim if the bomb was smaller doesnāt mean better pilots couldnāt still do the job.
I wonder if they would add the shaking to friendly if the bomb explodes, so they have a harder time to aim.
So they are effected in some way.
This thread has seen a long discussion, and I think most valid or relevant points have been made, with things starting to get a little personal. The devs are aware of the divisive role that aircraft play, and rest assured, your opinions are not being ignored.
