Please punish the campers who stay at their base!

In Stalingrad, people on the attacking side often stay at home sniping with non of them rushing the point.
This is bad for all the players who want to win the battle.
For this moment, the only way to end the suffer is to rush their base, enter the gray zone.
But still , this experience is exhausting and boring.

Developers, please consider the situation, camping in home should really be considered as an exploitation to the protection of gray zone. Do something!

I don’t want my Stalingrad event experience fulfilled with these camping trash.

This situation is usually due to the huge firepower gap between the offensive and defensive sides. In front of the powerful killing machines of the defense, the offensive players have lost the confidence to attack, so they start to play snipers and shoot cold shots in the gray area.

I have an idea that the game’s map should enlarge the playable area and provide a special control point for the player on the attacking side. If the defending player captures the control point, the game ends immediately. This way the game will be over in a few minutes, and neither player has to endure the embarrassing situation.

Stalingrad event hmmm, What you expect by a competitive event, people dont play only for themselves and help the team?

I like my home. Camping in the living room is a nice family activity that youngsters like very much. We build pillows and sofa forts. Camping in home is the best (plus, there’s no mosquitos).

not even the event, in regular matches we also see these things happening.
Moreover, campers usually can’t really kill much people, they are just trashes wasting people’s time.

In regular match are the soviet roleplay Vasilij Grigor’evič Zajcev because they have more bot than players compared with the german,
in stalingrad event instead:
more kill+less death= good classific position
(Aka sniper Time)

In fact I believe that if the outcome of matches does not matter, but mostly personal positioning and k/d ratio, that soviet players will be advantaged because there’s a bit fewer of them, so less competition amongst themselves. It’s another story if victory is important 🤷

let’s add officers who shoot campers and soldiers who do not contribute to the taking or defense of the objectives :cowboy_hat_face:

Eheh

That would be funny in fact

I camp.

I’m a camper.

I like camping.

But I do it to get kills and assist the team in the objective.

Don’t tar all those who camp with the same brush.

k so you rather have spawnrape, noted.

This game still has a long way to encourage player to play the object.
Let most combat happens inside or near object. Increase object area, like some stalingrad’s sectors.
Continue increase rewards of playing the object. (100 for 1min of capturing object is still too low. And defend get nothing is a joke)
When playing the object can get much more scores than killing itself, player will more stay inside/near objects.

For example, in RO2. New players soon find out that staying inside/near objects is the most effective way to get scores. Even if you cant kill anyone, but staying inside objects will bring you lots of extra assistant scores.
Also in RO2, the more allies capture the sector, the more bonus scores they get.

By keeping nerfing fullautos in almost every way, devs are encouraging even more snipers and vehicle/TnT spammers

When I play arty I usually stay at the back when the match begins. There are some maps where rushing to the first cap zone is suicide - like the train station or Gorky Theatre. I lay smoke cover and only after that I go for the first cap zone.

I rarely go for the cap.

at 52years old my reactions are just not quite up to the task of competing with smg bunnies.

laying down smoke/arty and taking out enemy snipers is what I do to help.

if it wasn’t for sniping I wouldn’t be playing at all.

I’m not too young either (45) so I also experiment with alternative strategies to avoid head-on encounters in point-blank range.

In Stalingrad between the ruins there are multiple ways to get into the enemy’s flank and take out clueless soldiers rushing to cap (or bots left behind cover while their player rushes :). I also find enemy rally points easier in Stalingrad than in other campaigns. Delaying enemy reinforcement can be usefull I think.

I really like this game because lots of different approaches can work.
