Being based is not a sin though.
Yes I strongly agree.
We need bare knuckles fights!
I have heard that the Japanese Navy and the Japanese Army had a very bad relationship in the 1940s. The upper echelons of the respective militaries planned to expand their power and often went out of control. I heard that during the Battle of Guadalcanal, the Navy sometimes refused to deliver supplies to the Army or deliberately sabotaged them. There is no way they can carry out the war because the Army and Navy refuse to cooperate with each other before fighting the U.S. This video is proof of that.
Correct. The Imperial navy and Imperial army hated one another so much, that often they would simply go on operations without telling one another. The Imperial navy had it’s own airforce, and the Imperial Army had it’s own naval assets.
Both the commanders of the branches were of rival Samurai clans of old, and given the Japanese’ zealous adherence to tradition, you can see where this would cause problems. Often, when the Army was retreating from bases it had previously taken, Imperial naval units would not evacuate them. Leaving them to die. It’s often joked that the Imperial navy hated the army more than they hated the Americans.
Yes, I know about the rivalry between them. I have also heard that the army didn’t know about Midway till the end of the war, aint sure if that is true though. Frankly speaking, i feel like zaibatsus and some ministers just screwed people in the 40s in Japan but that is just my humble opinion.
P.S I did watch that anime and played Kantai.
