Planned changes to the paratroopers' supply boxes

Yeah that Type 99 or Type 96 with scope and Ko rifle with scope will do the trick very easy to implement and SIG KE 7 with 50 rounds are gun that are easy to be made but the devs are not adding them.

Will event/premium paras be reworked then? Since most low BR para squads already come equipt with smgs and having dual smgs is honestly a waste soo why bother then? Also will that mean the event flametrower paras will loose that or keep it? At this point why not just let the players themselves tailor the supply boxes.
The Germans could even get the new event semi auto AT rifle (Solothurn S-18-100) in theirs even tho it doesn’t even count as a special weapon for tasks.
And if you are already changing italian boxes then add the Breda 30 for them soo they actually use italian weapons.

Yes you get the better M9 bazooka instead. Which is also a problem why do US paras get german AT weapons past br3.

In BR II-III, he’s refering to the Boys ATR in I-II, the US boxes has no M1 Bazooka and immedietly skips right to the M9.

paratroopers never get downtiered in terms of weapons it seems so US paras get Ofenrohr for balance I guess, just as Germans, Italians and Japanese get the same AT at that BR.

BTW: USSR and US both should get M1 Bazooka for BR1-2.

Interesting, I wasn’t aware. Still though, the Breda M 30 was their officially adopted main LMG, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that the game should endevour to represent what was more common rather than what sometimes happened.

dont quote me on this, but the ZB-26 was the standard LMG for Italian paratroopers.

This doesn’t really solve the problem of paratroopers being extremely vulnerable when they are dropping in their chutes. You’re just kicking the metaphorical can down the road. If you want to “buff” paratroopers, you need to make it so that they can fire their guns when they are parachuting in the air.

what no, I mean ofc hot dropping into a combat zone is going to be dangerous. Paratroopers are amazing already imo.

its not a war crime to shoot them, its a legit tactic and its very well represented in the game!

Custom load outs would be cool to see

They nerfed the drop speed of the chutes. Nowadays if you see paratroopers dropping in, you just wait down below and intercept them before they can get off even a singular shot. Also paratroopers did often fire their guns whilst they were in the process of dropping, the FG-42 was even specially designed for such a scenario.

UK paras should get this at BR3-5

British soldier with a 3.45 in RCL Mk I recoilless rifle, circa 1940s ww2dbase enlisted

Shame that Gaijin is too lazy to add something cool for UK outside of jets

This whole supply box thing could be solved by letting players customize their loud outs.
Just saying.

Try and stop me.

Though what I was able to find it seems that the ZB-26 was only ever tested by the Italians, which might explain the picture, but it was never officially adopted (either for the military or the paratroopers specificly).

Which, one might argue, would make the ZB-26 as much a Italian weapon as the BAR for the British (both officialy tested, never adopted). Which I’m not complaining about over all, options are nice, the boxes however in their nature of not being customizable should stick with the most appropriate gear in the meantime.

It’s funny to me that this reply, at the time of writing this, has more likes (one more, still technicly true) than the main post itself. Where are all the people saying “there isn’t enough interest to expand subfactions” now?

That’s so ridiculous.

Just make them to drop faster like they used to.
