Pilots can spot tanks at 2000 meters distance by spamming the spot button

Unpopular opinion: vehicle spots should be returned as they were before: static, showing “last seen” location instead in real-time wall hack spots. So that you are not highlighted when moving through woods/smoke/city streets (better option).

Or alternatively we could go the BFV way – if you are spotted, you get a notification, and releasing smoke clears the marker from you (worse option).

It isn’t. If you must make a low altitude pass to first mark, THEN quickly turn around to bomb BEFORE the mark disappears, you already wasted so much energy it’s asking to get shot down.

Marking from high up is logical when you see tank canon shots, or constant mg fire.

Besides, as others have said, if your team is competent then tanks are marked already so…

There’s no issue at all with marking vehicles or mg emplacements from up high.

It’s extremely sad… Even old defunct Heroes & Generals had this better… I was one to LOVE doing strafing runs with a fighter plane… In Enlisted I must just guess where enemies are and bomb or rocket a random spot…

Well. Planes had HE ammo there.

True. But I mean I even liked to strafe using the regular mgs when I was out of canon rounds… It was fun because it was a bit more difficult.

I did this with the P-40. Garbage plane, but noice for some straffing and bomb carpet.

Typical smartass nonsense coming out of your mouth.

A tank that isn’t doing anything to give away his position should not give away his position period. Where is even the logic here?

No1 likes your idea, deal with it. Your period means nothing, lol.

And no one likes you period, so are we gonna go down that road of toxicity? Because quite frankly you have already walked on it since the first day you joined this forum.

This discussion isn’t about me, lol. Try something else.

I have a buddy of mine that tries to do this, sometimes it works out for him, but usually not. By the time he spots it and tries to adjust to hit it, he can’t pull up and craters into the ground.

Meanwhile, I myself either ask for spotting on my approach back at about 2-2.2k out, and hope someone spots for me. If not, I’ll take a pass around the edge, looking out the side, and look for tracers and shells. It’s usually pretty obvious where they are.

How about just cancel nooby kamikaze? Add some penalty like ok, we are both dead but you dont get xp for kamikaze strike. Could work on basis of phsical contact between tank and f plane. If one occurred, pilot shouldnt get xp for destroying the tank.

It was the case at some point. I’m not certain if it got removed or is still a thing.

If the plane that dropped a bomb crashed before it’s bomb exploded, the player would not get any xp/points for the resulting kills.

I wouldn’t mind this to be back (if it’s not already a thing, I dunno I don’t really kamikaze…)

EXCEPT for Japanese pilots. They should have the right to, cause.

Got removed, if i remember correctly it was because accidental crash was counted as kamikaze action
