Good morning,
I would like to propose to you the topic of choosing random names already mentioned in the title. I thought it would be a shame if this game didn’t have a system that had the names of the country in it and where we could also choose what our soldiers will be called, just a nickname is not enough for me, but I would like to have a choice of names and surnames to get what I would like to have. That’s all, and I’ll be glad if you consult it among yourselves. I will give an example that is beautifully presented in the game World of Tanks

You can rename your soldiers through the Callsign orders that you get from battlepasses.

Well, I see this feature more of like giving a nicknames to soldier. Not proper change of name. Since you can still see the original name.

But I am highly against changing the rolled original name of soldier. I like the hunt for funny or interestingly named soldiers with perfect stats.
And ability to just change their original names would completely kill off this small hunt. I think it would be a shame.

Yeah, when I saw the option for callsigns, I too hoped that other people could see them. Alas, that’s not’s the case. A shame really.

Well, it’s not something surprising. Basically every second German soldier would be named AH etc. xD

Id like to see a list of names that are more realistic. At the moment its like someone asked ChatGPT to write “German names” “British names” “Russian names” and so forth.
I know some of the German and Russian names that the game gives wouldnt even work in those languages.
To be honest at this point Im surprised we havent got Hans Schnitzel or Vladimir Vodka.

Ive previously suggested getting lists of actual WWII soldiers (the fallen would be a nice way to recognise them) and then randomise the names.

I named all my guys after Australian Army Second World War Victoria Cross winners (VC is our highest military medal).

So for example Ive got Jack Mackay and Bill Kibby.

For a fictional soldier you could therefore have Bill Mackay and Jack Kibby. See how these are more realistic than ‘Harry Birdwhistle’. Do that with say 50 names and it would be better in my opinion.
