Hello bajtársak and fellow forumdwellers,
The Patchett SMG was designed by George William Patchett of the Sterling Armaments Corp and the first prototype was tested in 1942, interested in the design the Ordinance Board requested the improvement of the design and the reduction of the fire rate to 500 rpm.
The improved design, the Patchett mk.I was accepted to troop trials and deployed with the 1st and 6th airborne divisions during the second world war.
The Patchett SMG is the ancestor of the famous Sterling submachine gun which is still in service with various special forces as well as armed forces around the globe.
The Patchett mk.I has a fire rate of 500 rpm and is fed by a 32 or 50 round sten/lanchester magazine (so obviously the weapon is chambered for the standard 9x19mm Parabellum).
In game appearance:
I suggest that the Patchett should be BR2 and have characteristics similar to the Mp40, focusing on accuracy and low recoil.
It should be fed by a 32 round sten mag and have the same damage as the Mp40.
Perfect addition to British tier II subtree.
