Paratroopers are really a cool class to use, I attached a small clip
However, this class is blocked by a paywall or events and most players cannot enjoy this class, being the only “exclusive” class for enlisted, so, I suggest releasing this class for all players by adding new paratrooper squads to the tech tree… or better yet, giving the air jump mechanic to already existing “paratrooper” squads that are classified as “assault” in the game, for example the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division squads of the USA.
Also, I would like to see the mechanic of changing the weapons of the paratroopers implemented, currently only the Soviets have this function, while the paratroopers of the other factions are forced to use only the weapon they have by default.
That was like every match on the day the type 100 paratrooper squad was unlocked (which was the very first unlockable event squad) and it was glorious.
Locking an entire soldier class behind a paywall is not good, especially when it has achievements tied to it. But countless posts have been made, with nothing to show for it, so I suspect nothing will change.
I think a good way to add it, without placing it in the tech tree, would be by completing a mission or several specific missions to unlock the squad. This squad could have paratrooper bolt-action rifles or really standard weapons like the paratrooper Kar 98.

You have to wait for the boxes again and even then 7 out of 32 (as of now) event squads are paratroopers so not only you have to hit a 1% chance on the boxes. You have to win the 7/32 odds it is a paratrooper and it may not be on a nation you want at a BR you want (yes the Russian paras exists).
Unless you grinded the event right after the merge, or the few that happened when paras were introduced, the only opportunity for new players to get paras is:
pay money for premium paras
Gamble all their silver on lootboxes(currently unavailable) for the slight chance of pulling an event squad, and then getting even luckier and pulling a para squad
I think it would he a good idea to for DF to set up a regular Paratrooper event that fires once every year. Maybe in September for the anniversary of Operation Market Garden. It could contain one paratrooper for every faction. You could recycle old para squads, or even better (in my opinion) make new squads wearing standard Paratrooper gear that wield TT regular weapons like the Russian Paras. Then just recycle the same event every year.
How about a tech tree para unit that is like ted in number on field at any time like planes or tanks to prevent one side from spamming them
While the event premium have no limit
Or like a bombing run there deployment could be limited by a timer x amount of minutes before second tech tree pts can be used
