The only difference I see between these two tanks is the turret rotation, is that the only difference?
H has hull side skirts, that may effect the piat, a pretty big maybe

But the Jumbos HE shells are insane against infantry. I’ve seen them delete whole squads.
Not invincible. but an extremely annoying thing to kill. best shot is to suicide a squad full of detpacks and pray he doesn’t move an inch or else it won’t kill him
Yeah, that’s how I kill 75% of them, the other 20% fighter-bomber, and 5% tank.

Does H also has so bad post pen damage as J? (I have a feeling that the PzIII has far more post pen damage than PzIV H.)
All of them use the same/ very very Similar APHE when it comes to HE filler what you expected

Well I just had a match and shot a Sherman in the front with the AP round and it killed 3 crew, and damaged a lot of components.
So far it appears that the AP rounds are better then the J.
They M3 gun is exactly the same as on Sherman, and if anything the effect of 75mm HE (both american and german) is scaled down compared to reality, the M48 has 1,5 pounds of TNT filling after all.
As it stands right now the M4s are stuck with M72s which means if you’re up against Pz IVs you’re hoping to hit the ammo racks behind the driver while they’re trying to hit the couple of pixels representing the MG port, AP without filling doesn’t do anything unless it’s a direct hit since spalling is non-existent, even then ammo racks usually need 2 hits for detonation. The Pz IIIs are basically untouchable if they’re even slightly angled and the only option is aiming for the mantle killing crew one by one as they move to gunner seat.
I recommend sticking with the Pz. III N, not only it has superior turret rotation but it also feels slightly more nimble than the IVs, the gun doesn’t perform that much worse compared to the long barrels, but it feels much more effective when supporting infantry.
