Dear developers and fellow commanders,
I’ve been working on my first comment about the completion of the IJA/IJN for the last few days; unfortunately I won’t be able to share it with you in the next few days. Today (11.12.2023/Germany) we got the news that Japan will get new weapons in the next update. This makes some of my suggestions obsolete, e.g. the Type No-Hi III, Type Na-To. But I guess it proves my thesis that Enlisted has a huge potential, so I don’t mind and I hope my other suggestions can help to improve it even more.
The following bullet points are just my main suggestions at the end of the 22 (!) pages of my Word document. I will upload them separately so you can discuss the topics if you want (A: Squad presets and appearance; B: More information on weapons; C: Maps; D: New match-up: Soviet-Japanese War 1945; E: New weapons for IJA/IJN infantry; F: New armored vehicles and tanks). To be honest, I don’t know much about the IJA/IJN planes, so I didn’t write anything about them except for the A6M2-N.
So let’s get started:
• The preset feature needs an update to save the squad layout so that the new lvl II, III, V mechanic can be used with more pleasure.
• The skins in the Pacifc campaign should be more individual, and the U.S. now needs African-American soldiers (especially since the announcement of the Ardennes offensive).
• Japan deserves the IJF S.N.L.F.-squad as an event unit.
• The Type 99 sniper needs a 4x telescopic sight.
• The IJAAS-Paratroopers need an update.
• Japan should get some more LMG’s (besides the new one); I would recommend the Navy Type 1 (as an alternative to the new one) and the Type 92 with 97 rounds.
• The MG concept of the Japanese tanks needs improvement; a new armored car (Type 93) and/or the Type 97 Ke-Te tankette.
• Japan needs a vehicle with a flamethrower.
• In my opinion, the existing maps don’t show the reason why the U.S. finally decided to use the A-bomb to prevent “Operation Downfall” with terrible casualties.
• Finally, I would like to mention the USSR-Japan War in 1945; it would be a really unique feature to add this campaign to the game.
As I said, I wrote some pages to explain the points in detail, and I really hope that my comments will help to improve the Pacific Theatre (and other campaigns as well). So I hope some guys will read my stuff and share their own oppionions
