The P38 Lightning fighter (Yamamoto happy machine) that is preparing for the test may be very curious why the German army has this P38, this aircraft is actually an American pilot, named Martin. Mondy, the rank of lieutenant, who defected on October 13, 1944, flying a p38 fighter, and successfully landed in northern Italy, (brain let the ass kick, 1949 joined the National Army, 1912 as a eunuchman) after the plane landed, the German air Force ground crew immediately surrounded him, the German army is also confused about his defection, you look at me, I look at you, At the same time, he did not carry any valuable documents with him. Ironically, the Germany that Martin yearned for did not treat him as well as he imagined, because the German army was on the verge of collapse at that time, and he did not know what to do. Instead, he was imprisoned by the German Army as a spy until he was captured by the American army at the end of World War II. He should have been sentenced to death because of the Cold War factors, he is also a racist, white supremacy and fascist tendencies, so the lawyer seized the opportunity to give him a whitewash, thinking that he was anti-Soviet and anti-Communist before joining the German army, so it is understandable that he was finally sentenced to 28 years, and was released in 1977 (really funny enough). But in fact, the German army also had a similar design, such as Fw-187 and bf110, but because it was not as good as bf110, so the final defeat, the German army did not lack of excellent performance fighters, the most lacking is capable of long-range bombing large bombers, such as B17 B29, strategic bombers until the German surrender did not equip troops, only prototype aircraft. So as soon as the Allied bombers were captured, they took off for testing and research.
Maybe we could give the plane as a gift
The plane would be a cool event veichle
cool
the German P38 would be an interesting vehicle for an event and I hope to see the Italian one too
This plane was captured by Italian on 12th June 1943 after mistaken landing in Capoterra. It was flown by pilot Colonello Angelo Rotondi for attacks of B-17s bombers over Torvajanica. One B-17 was shot down making it the only known kill by an enemy flying an American fighter. The aircraft was finally grounded due to engine damage because of the lower octane of Italian aviation fuel. Original american camouflage scheme: (olive drab/light grey), US markings overpainted by Italian.

If you want a captured plane for Germany, it’s more likely we will get a Yak 1, razorback P-47 or IL 2 because those have models with German colours in War Thunder, where this game steals most of it’s vehicle assets from.
certainly using material already present is easier but Darkflow cannot live forever with just copy and paste especially with vehicles since there is a serious lack of ww2 material on WT which is now in full modern war (for the Sd.Kfz.222 it took practically a decade and we are talking about the most famous armored car in Germany) any infantry vehicle is practically non-existent, much less the modified ones which could be perfect on Enlisted
I’m not a developer but I don’t think it’s that difficult to change an emblem on a vehicle, it’s something you basically do with Paint
It’s a little bit more complicated than that because you need to not only model the new skin, but you alao need to give appropriate armaments. The German IL 2 in War Thunder carries German bombs, not Russian ones and if you want the P-38 to be effective, you need to find something similar. Sure, you could jist forgo the CAS munitions, but then people will complain.
