This idea came to my mind after seeing Ivan_and_Gayjin topic:
In this topic, I want to talk about an option to disable soldiers in squads. This option may seem trivial, but it can improve the game.
How does this option work?
Next to each soldier in the squad soldier list, there will be an option called “Utilization”. Disabling this option will deactivate the soldier without leaving the squad.
You will be allowed to deactivate soldiers as long as you have the minimum number of soldiers in that squad active that is appropriate for the squad class.
Why is this option useful?
As mentioned in Ivan’s thread, some may want fewer soldiers in Premium and Event squads, it is currently impossible to remove soldiers from these squads. So this option can deactivate soldiers without leaving the squad.
Also, there may be times when you don’t want to take some of your soldiers into battle (this could be for historical reasons or other reasons), with this option you no longer need to leave the soldier from the squad and then return it in the future.
You should be able to change this in battle too. I find that running smaller squads can be good for sneaking around. I run 3 man sniper squads because I have less bots that will get me spotted.
Smaller squads are more flexible, less hesitant to deploy than 5~9 man squad. (which my idea comes from)
A bigger squad is easier to spot for /tanks, mostly 70% of crews die in vain, even unable to throw a single nade yet… which I think is an infamy.
In smaller squads, though they are bad at caping, their flexibility gives them a higher k/d, which makes them “eliteful”
My main play way is using smaller squads to flank used as the hammer, but not team helper as an anvil by sending men waves and taking most casualties or worse “hiding behind use sniper but shot no one.”
