When soviet players begin complaining about Mkb can’t to remember this meme:
It already is and has been for a very long time
ZH… fuck off with this inflation gun.
What happens when axis players compla… admit its kinda bit ‘overtuned’
You see, I play every side every campaign max.
You I’ll find, I m yet to complain about a faction item or gear.
But you do you.
A fellow intellectual I see.
If it can kill, it’ll be just fine. That’s my enlisted philosophy.
The ttk is so fast that other than then nagant pistol, just about everything is viable.
Especially true in Stalingrad with the bolt action buff.
I must say though, the MKB in Stalingrad feels like the best all around weapon in the game, if not the best. At least the most versatile.
Moderate fire rate, making it more controllable and accurate at range. Good mag size. High damage at close range. Able to be used on both engineers and assaulters.
The MKb was documented to have seen service in Stalingrad though, just not in large numbers. A total of 30-55 were deployed at one point to resupply a german squad.
“The MKb 42(H) was mostly used on the Eastern Front against the Soviet forces. By one account, the gun saw action as early as April 1942 when 35 of the only 50 prototypes then in existence were parachuted into the Kholm Pocket near Leningrad as part of a resupply of the defenders.”
The problem is that it has no equal in the game. The AVT-40 has a 15 round magazine and while it deals 4 more points of damage than the MKb (12.0 - 14.4 when fully upgraded) the recoil just doesn’t help and it’s a 15 round magazine vs the MKb’s 30 round.
What’s the document, may I ask?
Is the AVT historical though?
Produced from summer 1942 to summer 1943 in very limited numbers (2k ive heard so far and thats “based” on some pictures of serial numbers) and sucked hard. Yet it is in Stalingrad, Berlin and even Moscow for some reason.
Why only focus on the Mkb? Cause its like the last not-nerfed super-German SMG so far?
Oops, mistake on my part. Doesn’t seem like there’s an actual legitimate document about it, but there are a few sources that claim that it was dropped in 1942.
You can read more about this here, but so far MKb’s in 1942 seem to be only a myth so far:
Ill agree that the MKB is probably is one of/if not the best “versatile” weapon in the game.
But at the same time, its not best by so much (at specific things) everything else is irrelevant. Far from it. I enjoy all weapons so much that I dont even use my fully equipped MKb (H) engineer squad most of the time. Rifles are so much fun, SMGS and Flamethrower absolutely rock at full on objective assaults. I only use my MKb H Squad for this if my smg squad or flame thrower squad aren’t available.
Mkb is great at long range, But is not as effective or efficient as the Kar98 sniper (especially attached to radio squad)
Mkb is a pretty good makeshift machine gun (area Denial), But a properly perked MG team, and set up is still better, apart from buggy bipod)
Its the Jack of all trades. But a bloody good Jack (in card game 500, jack trumps all Bar joker)
Thanks for the link, however, it seems to only be speculation, rumours and Polish journalists who produce “The Truth about the Wunderwaffe” alongside “UFO’s: The Secret Evidence”
The (undocumented) information about the Kholm pocket send us to the Leningrad front, i.e. some 1700km.
In any case, from what I have seen so far, there is no evidence of MKbs at Stalingrad, its production started after the Germans were encircled and it would be really weird for the pedantic Germans to airdrop heir latest technology to encircled and starving troops.
Plus, if MKbs were actually at Stalingrad, I believe the Red Army would have captured at least 1 after the Germans surrendered, however the first captured MKb is attributed to March-June, and again in the Kholm area, however again no documents or photos exist of MKbs there before the one captured in March-June 1943.
I’d love to be proven wrong and then I would use the MKb in Stalingrad without any guilt, but so far it seems like a fictional weapon.
And gameplay wise it would have been much better as a “experimental” gold order.
Touch some grass my guy
