First of all, I’m looking forward to this event. At the very least, I’ll get an interesting gun out of it, which I’m really happy about. However, to be honest, I’m feeling pretty anxious.
This event doesn’t have a clear theme. In the past, there were events like the Moon Battle, bipedal tanks, zombies—clearly built around a single theme. This time, the event feels like a patchwork of resources from previous events and even other Dalkflow game events.
There had to be some kind of solution. For example, since WW1 tanks were added to War Thunder for April Fools, they could’ve held an Enlisted event set in World War I. For history buffs, they could’ve created a Battle of the Japanese Mainland or an ‘Operation Unthinkable’ event.
They could’ve gone with something like a Napoleonic Wars, American Civil War, or Franco-Prussian War event. Or, if they wanted to go full-on silly, they could’ve done a crazy event like the old ‘Strike Witches’ anime fad—fighting on the front lines with anime girls.
When I see characters like pirates, post-apocalyptic survivors, or mafia types, I feel there’s infinite potential. Instead of using them as one-off characters, they could be moved as part of a whole world.
I know it’s April fools and it’s time for quirky events, I am open to something weird, but this immediately reminded me of my kids fortnite game, I mean I don’t understand how or what or why anyone can think this will be something WW2 fans will play, I am very pleased I have started playing ER2 which focuses on HA, instead of potman, we wanted preferred maps, we wanted our choice back, really concerned in the direction this game is going in honestly, I have been there since beta, have all the premiums I wanted, even bought the motorbike premium to support.
But I’ll be honest a lot of my clan are stopping playing, I still enjoy playing Enlisted a couple of rounds, but lack of map choice and campigns is astounding when comparing to another WW2 game… in Tunisia there were tigers, not in Enlisted Tunisia, but but wait we have Potman, Pirate and Gangster.
Come on guys, I want to support and I ask you to listen to what player base wants, then retention will get higher, adding fortnite chars (zombies were bad enough but semi passable, potman will immediately make me log off in base game).
Yeah Im aware, and those are really fun to play. Though I said so because Im having lots of fun designing squads that look like taken straight from WW1, so I would much rather have such rewards instead of some CoD/Fortnite crap
I think its hilarious how the helpers and community managers immediately go silent the moment the mood in the room turns sour, like they have an emergency protocol to be quiet in order to stop stoking the flames
I honestly dont care if they have their wacky halloween event, its tradition and Some people may like that shit, i can just ignore it. (Sure i think developing time could be way better spent)
What i do care about is having some legit ww 2 content (MAS 38) tied to having to play this crazy shit.
