the infantry in the April Foolâs Event in âWTâ is only AI, you can actually NOT play as infantry (shame would have been sweet if one could play it)
letâs hope so and something good comes out of this mess in the end!

Sadly, itâs a fairly boring event with (in totale) lackluster rewards, and the prize is a bit steep, especially compared to what youâre getting and compared to the FREE event of Warthunder. Never thought Iâd see Enlisted with lamer monetization methods than WarThunder but here we are. I will have to go without the machetes for a jungle squad as well as the lever-action rifles, I just canât be botheredâŚ
DF, I donât want the game to die so it hurts me to see you treat it like this.

Yeah but letâs not forget they openly stated they will host a close beta test of infantry and will post devblogs of tech trees, weapons and gear and this WW1 event is vehicle centered while featuring infantry probably as a teaser or small preview of whatâs to come, the trailer of modern combat also clearly shows FPS combat with being able to control the soldiers by running and explicitly showing ADS of different weapons clearly showing you can play as a soldier

Honestly thats the worst part of this event all in all.
Its DF just silently throwing in the towel and giving up, how utterly hopeless it makes me feel for the game, Ill probably just finish the main BP and thats it, I just want the rifle that should have been in the japanese tech tree. If the game gets better after that I might come back, cant say my hopes are high at this point.

Hard to believe an April fools event could run for 2 weeks⌠but I guess when the event is in a BP style with majority of it behind a pay wall anything is possible.
