Oh my god, the MKB 42(H) is crazy

Well the thing is, this game seems to be balanced asynchronous! While each faction on each campaign has strengths and weaknesses, one should always keep the whole picture in mind.

actually, I believe the devs gave the axis the Panther and the Panzerfaust AND the STG to Normandy, simply because there was no axis player left playing Normandy simply because the Jumbo was broken. But thats a different story… why do Soviets get the T50 and a PPSH in Moscow? because axis mains like moscow the most.

I would say the devs know very well what they are doing, whether that is a good thing or not

Many ppl dont understand that all unbalance were done by intention

hm, Moscow is the last campaign I am grinding … first Normandy, second Berlin (as I am a sucker for late war stuff), third Tunisia for the challenge! and last Moscow

That sounds like a fact, can you please provide the source were the dev’s or a community manager said that?

Congratulation and have have fun with the Mkb (I’m sure about that^^).

Actually, now that I am thinking about it, when the MKB becomes a regular assaulter weapon, the Meta weapons on that campaign will be:

-MKB
-PPSH
-AVS

so basically the most powerful squads for both sides to use will be assaulters, meaning Soviets will be using PPSH on 4 soldiers and the remaining 3 will be having a AVS.

on the axis side however, the germans will be using MKB on 4 soldiers + 1 sniper MKB and rest will be using the ZH-29 (better than g41 because of much faster reload)

I would call that “balanced”, soviets get select fire guns, axis get an extra MKB.

If they really add the MKb 42 (H) which I doubt but is not unlikely than I think it will get countered by the T-34 that will outclass what the germans get as the next tank. But this is just my wild guess.

I dont know if you have tried it maxed with vertical recoil perk yet but it is actually god like 11/10 favourite gun in the game, too much fun to use

No I just literally unlocked it yesterday, after buying twelve pieces I stopped and there wasn’t a single full star one. But it already is fun and I can only imagine how much more fun it will be once maxed :star_struck:

If they add the T34, they will also add the Panzer IV F2. So both tanks will take each other out no problem.

I am not against “asymmetrical balance” as long as that stays in the same unit group.

Like Infantry should always have the same power lvl on both sides, however if the one side gets better SMG, while the other side gets better Rifles, Infantry combat will be balanced.

However if for example one side has very powerful planes, but infantry and tanks suck… then who would want to play ground units in that campaign?

If one side has fast “glass cannon” Tanks and the other would have turretless tanks but very powerful AT and AI power we would have asymmetrical balance, however overall both sides would have powerful tanks, just the “gameplay” would feel different.

However, If one side get bad tanks, then that side will not use tanks to begin with.

There is no “bad tanks”.
I have killed Grant’s I with the AB 41.
I killed Jumbo’s with the Puma.

These days I usually use the Panzerfaust 60 or 100 or the Granatenbüchse 39 (which is so amazing btw!) or good old fashioned det packs.

And whenever I am together with @120062891 in a battle it is most of the times a race to who kills the tank first.

There is no “bad weapon”
I have killed full squads of FG42 with just a Webley Revolver.
I killed a guy with a PPSH only using a knife.

So you say the Luger is just as good as a Thompson gun as long as you know how to flank your enemy?

No, I do not and never will.
I just say nothing is OP, because if it truly were you can’t do shit about it.
There is situational strengths and weaknesses to everything and that is totally OKAY.

IF there would be a perk, which would give you bodyarmor that ignores bullets 100%, however only your head is still hittable… would that be OP? or would that be okay because you could still fight the user of that perk, you only need to do headshots. And if your enemy is bad at the game, you would still win that match.

We both, and in fact too many ppl on this forum have a fundamental different understanding of the word “overpowered”.

For me the word “OP” means the opposite of the word balanced, so basically for me “unbalanced” and “OP” are interchangeable.
Why do I think that way? Well because for me “balance” is the second most important aspect of game development, right after having “fun gameplay”.

If one side has even the slightest advantage over the other side, there is no fair competition, thus no victory would feel like a real victory in the end, because the enemy could state something like " nah dude, If our side would have had that “a bit stronger weapon” we would have won" and that statement COULD be true. For me even if one side has a small advantage over the other I consider that advantage to be “OP”.

And right this is were I disagree, because if I “truly” wouldnt be able to fight back at my enemy because of his OP gear he would be either cheating OR his OP gear would be sooo op that it would be 100% game breaking.

So for example if one side only gets the ability to use boltaction rifles, while the other side can use FGs STGs PPSh and such. That would be gamebreaking and winrates for the auto gun side would be above 80%.

Now however lets imagine a campaign where there are only 2 weapons.

one side gets the Mp40 as its only gun, and the other side gets the premium MP 40/1 with the double magazine as its only gun.

Now both weapons have the same dps and everything, but one reloads much faster/ has more bullets to shoot. Yes if you have better players on the simple MP40 side, they would still win the game, BUT it would still “unbalanced” for one side to have a “better weapon”. The MP40/1 would still be OP, because there is no reason for one side to have an unfair advantage.

I am sorry, I haven’t read your post, I appreciate the effort you put in it and feel sorry that I haven’t told you beforehand, it is not meant in a offensive way, I just lack the time right now.

Maybe I will read it another day, but I doubt it changes anything. As I see it, you have your opinion, I have mine. I can respect yours. I don’t think that mine is truer or better, it is just mine. Have a nice rest of the weekend my dude!
