Not working radio operator expanded capabilities? (edit)

With some radio operators it works, with some it doesnt seem to work.

Example:

Japan Radio operator 1 squad with expanded capabilities unlocked but in battle no extra capabilities for radio operator outside radio squad:
(also not when I use the actual radio operator, which is not necessary)

With Germany it does work with radio operator 1 but not with 2.
Germany radio operator 2 with capabilities unlocked but doesnt work:

Germany radio operator 1 with capabilities unlocked and DOES work:

With USA I have radio operator 1 unlocked and it works

(I dont have the unlock on radio operator 2 so cant test it)

With USSR I have radio operator 1 unlocked but it doesnt work.

(I dont have the unlock on radio operator 2 so cant test it)

So unless I do something wrong, this may be an issue?
It really seems something is going wrong here.
I dont see a bug report about this.

You might need to restart the game if you didn’t already. I found it necessary for German radio operator capabilities to unlock after unlocking upgrades.

No I have them unlocked already for a long time.

I noticed a pattern: those that do work have the radio icon on top and those that dont work have it at the bottom, in the radio squad upgrade screen.

To get it work on Radioman 2, you need firstly research it for main squad, that’s all с:

Sorry I dont understand.
What about the radio operator 1 from Japan and USSR that dont work, while USA and Germany do work?

Also, I have Germany radio operator 2 with the unlock, but it doesnt work.

Hi!
In order for a Radio Operator I or II in a regular squad to be able to use a radio call other than the artillery call, you must:

• Learn Expanded capabilities for radio operator in Personal Upgrades in the radio operator’s squad of the required tier
• Learn the required type of radio call in the radio squad: Supply crate drop or Smoke artillery.
  After that a radio operator in a regular squad will be able to use the needed radiocalls. If radiocalls are learned for Radioman I they will not be available for Radioman II.

Yeah doesnt work for me either like warhead said if its at bottom it doesnt work

Hi there, this was solved.
I had the expanded capabilities unlocked of the radioman but not yet of his squad.
