New US weapons

Plz no fucking grenade rifle for FG plz nonono

Grenade rifles are anoying as hell, dont add them to a strong rifle such as the FG, would kind of ruin the balance of the damn things. Also its already in game for a para squad I believe.

For T20 scoped, add it for all I care, give the Japs some love as well by giving them a BR III scoped weapon and maybe something for BRV (idk what though). Would make US and Japan sniper squads more fun on high BR.

Type 4 could be equipped with all the modifications of the M1 Garand

Could we pls get the Johnson lmg as an SF rifle instead though?

captured 1941 Johnson machine gun authorized for the Stormtrooper class or a Japanese copy of the 1941 Johnson machine gun authorized for the Stormtrooper class

Here’s some more info and images of some T20 variants. The original T20 only had a rate-of-fire of 500 RPM, but the T20E2 (which could mount a GL) was 700 RPM.

There was also a T20 which mounted an M81/82 scope, which could be a BR V sniper rifle, akin to the Sniper AVS-36 and Sniper FG-42.

I shall add, double-checking the documents i posted above, it seems the T20 had a semi-automatic feature, while the T20E2’s semi-automatic function is “Limited by dexterity of operator”. Whether that would affect the GL feature or not in-game is uncertain, but it would be dubious for the weapon to be given a “semi-auto” fire selection option.

This reads to me like: “you can fire single shots, but it’s by quickly tapping out single shots on full auto, not a real semi-auto feature.”

Anyway, scoped T20 seems to have existed, and if so then it should be in the tech tree. I think that if the regular rifle exists in the tech tree, then the scoped version should too. Still waiting for a German G41 tech tree sniper though…

Exactly. But does this mean you can shoot your own grenade if you aren’t careful?

IMO grenade launchers shouldn’t be a thing at BR 5 anyways, too much of the BR 5 experience is death by HE spam already.

Sounds hasourdous to your health, but it’s theoretically possible, just, you know, extreamly unsafe. I guess you could do it safely by just loading a single blank, rather than having a magazine full of blanks for rapid grenade launching.

Entierly fair opinion.

I usually do that, and I also do it in bursts of 2 shots.

Yeah, of course, it just wouldn’t result in a semi-auto setting in game, because that’s supposed to represent a mechanical system of the gun, you would just need to do “semi-auto fire manually”.

Would be nice if they just gave our current T20 the muzzle break that the T20E1 has (it’s actually a later T20 muzzle break, it was made before the T20E1), and gave the T20E1 a bayonet as well.

What is that? That’s a scope rail? Doesn’t look like it to me, where is anything supposed to lock in or stay connected? I don’t see a place for anything to be screwed in, tucked in or fastened to. Maybe it’s just intentionally thicker, so that you can screw on a scope mount?

Looking at how the scope is mounted on the M1C hasn’t enlightened be to why there’s a rectangular cutout there, it doesn’t seem to be using it to mount the scope:

Here’s btw what I meant for Japan:

I suppose it does, is it actually just there to provide extra metal, so you don’t weaken the rifle by screwing things into it? Then again, the Japanese one looks stouter…

One would think that, if the “more metal” theory is the case, why not use a uniform width? The Shape would suggest that you’d put some sort of block there to fill it in as part of the mounting process, but that’s not the case on the M1C… it’s clearly just screwed in, and I’m not entierly sure it’s screwed in only on the thicker part…
