I mean Panther was irl better than a Tiger as i guess it is in Enlisted. The only advantage that a Tiger could have in game is being better against infantry purely of the bigger caliber HE shell. I dont see how is this whole topic even a debate :yawning_face:

Well that is like saying a apple is better than a pear (actually that is a german saying “Äpfel mit Birnen vergleichen”).
The Tiger does have a better side armor than the Panther, enabling it the “Mahlzeit Stellung”. While the Panther can do it too (angeling) the tiger can angle further, which gives it an advantage. Also the reverse speed of the Tiger is better. But that doesn’t matter for a real german player because you never retreat anyways :sweat_smile:

I did actually kill a handfull of panthers that way. Killing the gunner over and over untill no one was inside the panther.

But Ap shots lacks splash damage and the apcr from the premium one is as good as a paper holder.

Firefly is pretty “soft”… it has a great gun but not many more armour than a regular Sherman…

Wrong on every level, the panther can just about go through the ufp o the jumbo if you are 45° above the jumbo so you’re shooting a flat plate, it has like a 30% chance of going through the turret face at close range if hit flat on, the mg port can be penned but let’s take ver sur mer, jumbo on the beach because they literally never move up and the panther up by the lighthouse so it can actually hit things on the beach isn’t fucking hitting the mg port or any other samll weakpoint like the turret neck.

Yes it does, a really high muzzle velocity, but the 88 beats it out in OHK because the 88 has much more explosive filler over the 75.
I need 2 shots on average with my Ausf. A or G but the tiger when it pens, is lights out to the enemy tank.

Well, honestly I can’t really answer this question. Both weakspots are tricky imo, they can eat shells like nothing or you only kill less important crew.

I mostly use the overconfidence of the most Jumbo drivers and wait hidden until they show me their side to shoot for ammo. If I have to fight them front to front I try to angle myself and force Jumbos crew out of the tank bt destroying vital components.
Or just bomb/detpack them, since they seem to often think that they are invincible and rush without thinking.

yeah, its possible to destroy them, but they are at advantage (its not so bad until they are camping), but i think germans should also have advantage elsewhere, i see germans winning anyway, this is achieved through encircling and detpacking such a loud tank (and sometimes i would just rush foward with my tank and hope his shots deflect until i get to his side), it still causes a lot of trouble tho

That’'s true, Jumbo is at advantage even with its awful AP shells.
But what is the worst thing about it is the powercreep that it started. For some reason devs added ahistorical Jumbo → Panther came to “counter it” → next US will get something to “counter” Panther and so on.

Well, I’d say that possibility to start in the fortifications filled with MG nests etc. with great overview over the beaches is such advantage. Jumbos are the worst problem on said beach maps, where they sit far in the grey zone and you can’t do much about it (same is done by the Panthers of course).
In the end both teams can win, but it heaviliy depends on how many real players there are and how dedicated they are to actually play the objective.

engineers should be able to repair those positions tho, its starting to be common for tanks to just shoot at any mg in the map from the gray zone (even unnocupied), then defenders dont have much left

yes, they can build “their own”, but thats engineer II and im nowhere near it, just like the other majority of players
