Equipped with Steel Armor, Submachine guns, and Flamethrowers!
The Soviets mounted hundreds of PPSh-41s under planes and flew over the battlefield unloading them

you already have squads that can have engineers, flamethrowers and assaulters togethers…
Cant have multiple of each in same squad and equip the armor
In the German forces, these units were called “Sturmpioniere”.

This reminds me of Red Orchestra 2’s engineers armed with SMG, AT grenades and satchels.

where they basically relay more on automatic weapons and have for the majority, stgs 44s for every single dude ( well, not every ,but most of them ).

( i know it’s a volksgrenadier unit, i just can’t remember which one )

Tho we have Volksgren uniform in premiums of Berlin (Prem engineer squad + MP40\1), and as F2P – Engineers and AT squad in Normandy, Flamethrower and Mortar squad in Berlin.
That’s the 26th infantry division of the Wehrmacht and at the end of 1944 (September) regrouped as 26 Volksgrenadierdivision.
makes sense to see it in berlin as volksgrenadier though.
( eh… dunno… they never really were at normandy nor berlin… so why have them in the game? )
Never served in Berlin. Served in Russia until 1944, then at Bastogne and the Ardennes offensive. After that in and around Prüm 1945. Got captured by americans in the Harz 1945.
