New perk to increase fire-rate of semi-auto guns

As we all know semi-automatic weapons got nerfed to make the game more realistic because not everyone can shoot really fast. So I was thinking of a perk that basically makes the semi-auto weapon like how it was before, around 400 rounds per min. It could probably be called “75% increase in fire rate with semi-automatic weapons”.

Why not just unnerf them
The"realism" excuse is nonsense anyway
A realistic nerf for their close range capability would be tanking their accuracy while magdumping

I would like to just know the real reason for the semi auto nerf.

Is it to motivate people to grind more to get last tier weapon?
Is it to buff the SMG?
Is it to make some bolt action a little more usefull?
Is it to make the futur premium squad more attractive?

I don’t even care if it’s a decision based on commercial reasons. They can do it, it’s a F2P. When people accept to pay 50$ for a single premium squad they will accept the answere.

At this point I just want to know why. It cannot be because “soldier are stress on the front”.

It has to be a real reason… it can’t be a stupid idea from managment or something… no? Can it be? Is there some kind of Peter Molyneux in darkflow?

Because it was needed in my book by looking at what it could do in the past, looked awful. How ever the single fire needs to be nerfed as well with Assault rifles

This. Slow firing isn’t realistic “when stressed”. They could instead have added a lot of recoil while hipfiring. Which could result in famous scenes like this:

(Also notice how the super stressed guy dump his mag VERY SLOWLY… because of stress. Sure makes sense, huh? :stuck_out_tongue: devs should find better excuses.)

Guy just shot all over the place BUT his targets…

Adding a perk to correct a stupid nerf in the first place is unnecessary.

What happened to wanting realism? Call of Duty perks should have no place in this game IMO. Recoil and Vitality perks are unrealistic cancerous shit anyways.

I believe they nerfed the semi-automatic rifle’s rate of fire because high-caliber rifles in Enlisted make for a very fast TTK, which new players aren’t going to enjoy facing off against. Devs just didn’t want to admit that it was for general game balancing. How is this game going to be fun in several months time when more players unlock select-fire rifles and can massacre all, if not most of someone’s squad with 1-2 magazines? They have a ludicrous amount of killing potential as is, but the ROF nerf at least keeps semi-auto’s somewhat reasonably in check as they’re way more common to encounter.

At this point I’d be fine with having a new middle ground as long as bump firing semi-automatic and select-fire rifles gives a significant recoil penalty. You’re not gonna have the best of both worlds, live with it. Personally, I don’t get everyone is still bitching about this. Oddly enough I’ve been wiping the floor with players more often, after the semi-auto nerf. But like I’ve stated, I am okay with a different middle ground as long as it’s reasonable.

Remember that full auto weapons switched to semi auto don’t cause such stress so they can be spam fired.

yeah like the m2 carbine but idk about the fg if they didnt then thats kinda dumb

yeah assult rifles are just op i mean its basically bringing a pretty modern weapon to WW2. But ig the stg was pretty canserous irl.

So I see people sharing their opinions on why they did the nerf and I’ll just elaborate a bit on it. So I think that the devs did this to make it more realistic because I don’t think that the average soldier could shoot that fast with semi-auto weapons. But of course, some soldiers could shoot faster than others so it doesn’t make sense why all soldiers have a low fire rate.

it would be good to remember that this is a game supposed to fun.
