This. If they add a russo-japanese conflict theater, every faction has two other factions to fight. And it would be nice to have maps to play as Japan that aren’t all islands.
I disagree. Japan only needs their assault rifle and better at launcher but other than that they are very balanced

Wouldn’t be hard to copy current desert maps we have now and change topography a bit and the foliage. Then you’d just have to do some building assets for the more Greecian looking parts like ancient pillars and such so we get the Greek landmark effect

Japan invaded Taiwan (Hong Kong Island) on Dec 8, 1942. The fighting lasted until Dec 25, 1942.
On the island were 14000 Commonwealth soldiers, and over 40000 Japanese soldier involved in the fighting.
No where did I say that MacArthur or the United States was involved.
you are missing the point he was making. USA was never on taiwan, but cause of ingame mechanics we would get campaign with basically USA vs japan on taiwan.
If you look at my OP, I was positing a campaign based on Taiwan.
Agreed that due to the mechanics, would screw it up, but the hope is for the commonwealth to be separate.

You are the one who miss his point. Hong Kong is not Taiwan. Taiwan wasn’t invaded by the Allies or Japanese during WW2. It was already ruled by japan before WW2.

This thing is base on the assumption that Commonwealth soldier was on Taiwan. Allies didn’t even invade Taiwan. There was no battle in the first place. Adding it is like adding operation downfall or operation sea lion.

Hong Kong, was ruled by the UK on a 99 year lease from the early 1900’s.
So NO it was not occupied by Japan prior to 1942.
It was returned back to the UK after the war, and given back to china in 1999.
