yes, thank you, that’s what exactly happens to me too, like when the 50 cal round just pierces through the metal, Like come on, the seat is even armored
yeah that 8 millmeters of steel is sure gonna stop that .50 cal
especially within 500 meters
100%, don’t listen to these other morons. I play sim and realistic on warthunder all the time and planes are easier to take down with 7.6 machines guns on it then the 20mms here. I think it has to do with the fact that planes don’t get damaged the same. For example wings don’t break off, tails don’t get holes in them. The literally only way to kill a plane in this game is to pilot snipe, completely destroy one engine with like 50 bullets, or cut the tail controls.
be careful with what you wish for since if they do that then it means that all rifles will be able to snap you wing off
Well, on one hand, it is true that you could improve your aim a bit. Many shots missed.
That being said, there is many instance where you clearly did hit good shots. Perhaps you spent more ammo than another pilot, but it should have been brought down. The last video with the A-20 is a clear example of that.
It’s quite simple really; planes shouldn’t be able to tank hundreds and thousands rounds. In War Thunder that is never an issue, the TTK is really fast most of the time. The damage model are obviously broken.
At the beginning of Open beta it took a single rifle round to take down an aircraft, now it take 2-3 thousands. Get your shit together and find a proper damage model between these two extremes.
The 109’s have 2 x 13mm and 1 x 20mm don’t they?
And the P-38 has 4 x .50 and 1 x 20mm?
So there’s more firepower just in the numbers.
But honestly - your videos look exactly like what I experience trying to shoot down a German plane - most often 110 or 188, very occasionally 109 or 190 - lots of hit markers and often a kill 5 minutes later when the guy can’t manage to fly teh wreck any longer.
And in reverse - the only OHK’s I’ve inflicted are on 188’s from dead in front head on killilng the pilot - 2 or 3 of them. The few times I’ve found myself head on to a 110 I lose - period.
But 110’s OHK anything - as long as they can get the guns to bear, which is of course hte issue.
So looks pretty standard to me all round.
The 20 mm is supposed to explode, cause fire or break off parts, but it doesn’t. Their damage model is way off in this game. I thought it was the same as Warthunder, but guess not because I shot all my rounds into a p47 one time. He smoked, but then a p51 trailing me sets on fire with a single burst of 50 cal. It’s pretty lame
hey uhh, are you gonna join the chat again? i still want to see how you do it if you think what i’m doing is wrong.
