You’re right, the damage didn’t increase a little bit, but doubling it was too much change, and I think it was too urgent because of the nature of the game without a test server

about Question asking campaign rework, (Tech tree and Branches for Example), they said like this:

“Yes um… I can tell you that Firstly we always try to add Fresh and Intresting Contents to all Campaigns, to make our players happy, and to gather New players, you know it is very important for every online game, But now I think we are doing Pretty well In this Direction. If it is Necessary, Of course we will think about some new Solutions as usual.”

I think these reactions of Devs aren’t that bad, And maybe (Hopefully) there may some future chances to change those things.

I think this has broader negative impact than people think / care about.

From my inital 8-match test set, it looks like the balance of attacking and defense is now fundamentally altered to the favour of defense with the bolt action lethality increase. I did not lose a single defense game, I also won 0 attacking games (did win confrontation).

Maps are not designed for this damage level in mind. Attacking points with large open areas become massive killzones and either the attacking team camps, or only manages to cap point 1 because it bleeds so many tickets. The only matches which are close are manor and pokrovskoye city, where the shooting ranges are shorter. Fortified distrtict, Lumber yard, quarry and monastery all turned into massive slaughters of the attackers mainly because of the map itself. You can always shout “skill issue”, but I find it funny that getting constantly one shot killed by veterans cannot really be a fun experience for your average newcomer either.

Defenders furthermore have the advantage that they are inside buildings and cannot be seen from distance until they one shot your first guy.

Confrontation mode has been the most fun I had in the game so far, since both sides have to actually try to play the point. Everything else feels pretty lame.

It’s a poorly done update where bolts are way OP to the effort it takes to accurately land shots.

Confrontation is the most suited mode for Enlisted indeed, even though I don’t agree with you from the Bolt Action buff.

Invasion is just a slugfest.

So much of this is wrong its kinda funny

It has been tested for one
Stalingrad was the testing ground for it and the change was received favorably enough that the devs rolled it out across the game
The rest of it is some histrionic take not based in reality at all bordering on hysteria

It’s hard to exactly pinpoint what % of change is due to bolts themselves and what % due to bots being better as these go together. However observing the game from both attacking and defending so far, it looks like that attackers really suffer if there is large amount of open ground between them and the objective so from a squad it’s usually only couple of troopers that make it, if that.

I’ve also encountered way more AA gun emplacements from the defenders after the update, which I guess is a way to avoid getting the OHK by hiding behind the gunshield.

That’s at least my experience so far.

This might surprise people. it shouldn’t, but it does. I went to marine reserve officer school back in ‘08 and they told me that attacking across an open field is - frankly - a bad idea.
Invasion isn’ t the most balanced gamemode in the first place.

I haven’t noticed (8 games new patch?) much difference but on the other hand I don’t have vitality maxed troops or vitality perk so basically I saw very little difference in how and why I died (mostly due running out of ammo, the curse of Axis Moscow).

But it did remove the bloody annoying kneeling so I’m more than content.

More data is needed.

Well, I guess you don’t need to be a field marshal to understand that attacking enemy at 1:1 strength ratio is generally a bad idea, especially if the supplies and reinforcements of the enemy are larger than yours. But that’s how the mode is set up, where attacking was already the hard mode of the two.

And in many cases you have not really that much choice in how you exactly manoeuvre to the point (at least not in a way which is not in itself also easily counterable). But anyway - enlisted is not exactly a tactical company movement simulator, otherwise you’d be executing some plan rather than having random squads doing whatever the fuck they feel like i guess.

I’ve also been playing axis moscow. Particularly on attack, it went from dying from PPSH to bolts. It also went dying around the point to dying somewhere relatively way more further away frequently. And seems to be the same way to the other team, at least looking at the cap progress (or rather lack thereof) and kill feed.

Yeah, we need to remember the context here. Enlisted is a super casual game with actual bots derping bout.

The combat hotspots for the attackers are still the same for what I noticed. You’re still stuck in the same places you were stuck pre-patch, and if your bots don’t push with you, it’s a yet another stone to the waves so to say.
PPSh and DP, with ROKS-3 and Nade Launcher (+Mosin Nade) were still the most leathal things - and still are it seems.
SMG - the previous Jack Of All Trades Weapon - is diminished to CQB but not completely. I have had success with PPD and PPSh to 60-80m still, disgustingly easy.
Kiraly is effective only in close ranges due the recoil being like AK47 in CSGO, MP40 is once again ok-ish to mid-long fights.
MkB seems to be more effective now!

BA still suffers from the main thing: it has only 5 shots per clip and reloading is difficult. You’ll get swarmed by bots eventually and run out of ammo.

Nothing get disgustingly game breaking BA-schenanigans faced yet.
