The main question is why SMGs get more bonuses when they improve. It turns out that the balance of top and stock guns is different.
That is, the stock mp-43’s damage differs from mp40’s by 29%, and when improved by 23%. What is the logic? Similarly with the rate of fire
It’s like the game was AKM and mp-5, with acm gets +10% damage when improving, and mp-5 +50% and 20% of the rate of fire and the damage of their cartridges became equal
They should give all weapons which use 7.92x33 a standardization, my personal suggestion is to 1. buff accuracy and 2. buff default damage to 9
The only problem is that MP43/1 is not an SMG, it’s not even close to an SMG in any aspect.
Yeah, I meant why do pistols machine guns take more damage than ar? Also, why don’t ar’s get any rate of fire at all?
I would understand if that was the case:
Smg got 10% damage and 15% rate of fire, and ar got 20% damage and 7.5 rate of fire.
In that case it would mostly improve the strengths of both classes.
However now smg gets everything more for no reason
I agree. I still wanted at least a slight bonus to the rate of fire in the form of 5-10%, as it gets all classes of weapons, even sniper rifles
Simple. People dont want ‘challange’ themselves. There is campaings where they can get effortless victories so even try against people who can shoot back
Okay, then the decipherment is that Berlin is a tough campaign. And why do you think that is? I just care what others think about why this faction is screwed up.
So they can put the actual StG44 later, maybe as a weapon for more classes than just Assaulter, like in Stalingrad. It will probably have other tweaks to make it feel like a better weapon (like slightly higher rof and slightly lower recoil).
STG44 won’t be a better weapon, for three reason: 1. It still does 8.8 damage; 2. It has worse RoF; 3. It still has bad accuracy, considering it has 0.66 dispersion, while MKB42H has 0.15.
To be clear I was talking about the potential difference between the MP43/I and the StG44 in the future.
The StG44 is not in the game, how do you determine that ? I’m genuinely curious.
Where did you get that info ? It’s still not an accessible info in the game (which is dumb, because you can reduce it with upgrades)
Historically the MP43/I, MP43, MP44 and StG44 are basically the same weapon (with the MP43/I using a MKb42 barrel).
So they should even touch to any RoF, damage and recoil stats.
They won’t change the damage because they base it on the cartridge, barrel length and type of weapon.
They could slightly change the RoF and recoil for the sake of making it different, but not by much (like in Stalingrad between the SVT-38 and SVT-40, the later having slightly higher recoil even though they are close to identical). That’s why I said :
Imo the real thing that will make the StG better when it’s added is that it will be available for more classes than Assaulters (like they did with the MKb42 in Stalingrad, thank God they limited it to engineers and assaulters in this campaign, because their initial plan was bullshit, the situation is still bad but a bit less).
It will be fine on campaigns like Berlin and Normandy if they do the same or even give it to more classes because it’s going to be end game content and few people will be able to field them at the same time.
Do you know there is a thing called datamining? STG44 has 500 RoF, 0.66 dispersion. STG44 sniper has 500 RoF, but 0.27 dispersion. STG45 has 400 RoF, 0.72 dispersion.
I know datamining exist, no need to be condescending about it, I just didn’t have access to the info so I asked, that’s what a forum is for.
That aside, thanks a lot for providing the spreadsheet !
