Im here with another gun that got placed into BR 3 when merge dropped but was really never looked at again after many tech tree smgs were moved around.
Currently, its not really belonging in BR 3 anymore. Its comparable to the M1 Beretta and Erma EMP.
I propose a move to BR 2 for the Suomi.

No, it’s not. It’s definitely more akin to the current TT BR3 smgs.
I really don’t see any point in making such a change. Once on BR2, it would be one of the best BR2 smgs. Completely unnecessary.
Btw, I have no idea why out of all the BR2 german smgs you choose M1 Beretta and Erma EMP.
The Italian smg, which isn’t even played much, has only slightly bigger magazine capacity than the MP40, but is otherwise inferior in pretty much every other aspect.
And a random old premium smg that’s like ultra rare because no one plays it. And as far as I know, people can’t even buy it rn

Yes, let’s compare it to the best tech tree German BR2 smg, completely ignoring the worse BR2 german smgs.
And let’s not even bother comparing it to the BR3 smg. Because that would show it to be much closer to them in quality.

So it’s basically better than even best BR2 German tech tree smg.
And I would rather have tech tree stuff to be meta on its own BR. Rather than some limited smg that’s not going to be even available pretty soon.
So I just don’t see the need for lowering it to BR2. It is just fine at BR3.

But Tooya brought up great points. The Suomi is basically on par with the MP40, which is BR 2. I don’t see any real reason for it to be in BR 3.
You shouldn’t compare the KP-26 with the MP40 or other axis smg’s, you should compare it to the PPS-42 and PPS-43, which by FAR are the best smg of BR II.
A gold order weapon should always be a bit better then the TT guns from the respektive BR. Otherwise there would be no reason to spend money in buying them…

That makes even much less sense. Especially since both PPS-42 and PPS-43 are extremely overperforming. And are better than several BR3 smgs.
If anything, they should be nerfed or replaced by something else and be put on BR3.
Well, If you are one of those people who justify in-game purchases by only buying something that gives them an advantage (literally pay2win), then you are right.
But it’s no like you do care about proper balance at such point.
But then there are meaningful reasons, like want to have something unique or exclusive. Or just have something that provides different experience.
With the intent to support the game instead of buying yourself an advantage and thus encouraging developers to only put pay2win stuff in game because the other stuff wouldn’t sell.
I dont think GO needs to be better, it should offer something cool or unique, which most GO tend to do

What about compare it to Lanchester and Type 2a smg? Axis is suffering in terms of SMGs
You both are totally right about the unique factor, but lets not forget that those weapons origin lay back when campaigns still was a thing - and weapons like G43 Kurz or Cönders are for sure absolute unique, but also totally p2w. When I started a new campaign at Lv. 1 these weapons were a must have and still today those weapons are a pain for the enemies.
I will not justify p2w, but those weapons are the best examples.
I think the KP-26 is not a classic p2w weapon, but rather a slightly better one compared to regular weapons (when in the right BR ofc.). It is not necessary that the KP-26 or other GO weapons have to be much better then regular TT weapons, but they should never be worse than the main part of smg’s - and the KP-26 is in many cases worse then many many BR III smg’s.
That makes quite a lot sense because axis will face USSR in 50% of all matches. And also the US/GB has great and more powerfull smg’s in BR II so the KP-26 would fit there great too without beeing OP.
We all know that specially the PPS-43 never will see BR III or will be nerfed.
Nowadays there are way better TT weapons compared to GO ones, so the p2w point is more or less not as present compared to older times. But it would be a shame when GO weapons become useless (like MKb42(W) for example). I really think the KP-26 would fit perfect in BR II without beeing OP and without the p2w-taste.
