It fires rifle round so it shouldn’t be classified as an Assault Rifle. It fits the SF category much more.
More over, it has 25 rounds in the magazine so despite dealing less damage it could be a good sidegrade to AVS and AVT. Similarly to how FG42 vs AVT/S work, one has more ammo but the other deals more damage.
Of course with this change, it’s stats should be changed accordingly: recoil, spare ammo, upgrades etc. to be more in line with other SF rifles

I suggest we keep things consistent. ARs fire intermediate rounds, that’s literary in their definition.
Fedorov can be always nerfed to not be too strong.
The Fedorov in its current form is very similar to the Japanese Type Hei automatic rifle. It looked like it before the upgrade. So basically you want the USSR to use the Fedorov with a 3*9 rifleman 3 meta?
Type Hei is already SF rifle, so why fedorov can’t be if it’s so similar?
They already run with AVT/S so nothing really changes. (Especially since fedorov would get SF recoil, ammo etc.) It’s just a sidegrade.

The FG42II is still better, but it will be good idea.

Less recoil and I think more damage (they increased Fedorov’s damage, but I’m not sure how much).
The only advantage Fedorov has is 5 more bullets.
I also think the ROF of the FG42II rifle is higher, but unfortunately I don’t have access to the game right now (I’m downloading the update with 1MBps😂).
Actually Fedorov currently has less recoil and 150rpm less.
Also in that case, AVS and AVT should be nerfed because they have more damage than FG42.
I think you have upgraded FG and stock fedorov.
