Move 15 cm sIG 33 B Sfl (Germany, BR II) to BR III

No, not really.

It was moved because it had a great combination of armor, mobility and firepower.

Pz IV E and Pz IV F1 both have the exact same HE spamming ability and are still BR2.

Also… honestly I would like to wait and see how the Sturmpanzet performs and even then I doubt it is BR3 material. Plus, the allies will keep their busted XA-38 at BR3 (yeah I know it’s not the same topic) so I don’t see why the germans wouldn’t be able to keep their funny event reward at BR2

T-70 (BR1) vs Sturmpanzer II (BR2/3):

Any question?

It got 20mm of armor in the chassie and 15mm for the gunshield.
I would be suprised if you could find an angle where you can manage to bounce your shoots.

And even then you got litterly an exposed ammo rack in the rear.

Too stronk!!!

Use the t60! (I love the t60)

That little bastard overheats too much. I can’t destroy sturmpanzer ii without overheating two times. But it is possible to destroy it frontally but SPII has advantage there.

Maybe.

But does it pen?

If so, the crew will be taken out.

And as such, every newcomers in starter vehicles should be able to take it out easily, without the need for better vehicles, AT, or planes.

95% of the shots pen like hot knife going through a butter and side shots are complete overkill. Only vs some angling you will struggle with penning

Have you tried just shooting the ammo box in the rear?

Well then.

Just like the Duck, the fear of that vehicle is unfounded.

It can officially resist nothing, not even starter br1 vehicles.

It can logically and reasonably remain br2 as far as I’m concerned.

I’d say yes. It’s not just about tank v tank balance (tho I think that is important as well). The 15cm sIG will be able to HE overpressure all BR I tanks just like the KV-2 currently overpressures all BR V tanks. Tunisia maps in particular are very flat and let HE fragments travel a wide distance.

If it had the same reload as the KV-2, I probably wouldn’t have made this post. Nobody really complains about the KV-2 or IS-2 despite their HE as they shoot very slowly. But this tank shoots 3 times as fast and sees BR I. If it only saw BR II, I also wouldn’t have made this post since BR II players have access to much more gear. What is an M13/Stuart + Boys ATR going to do against one of us with this chilling in the grey zone watching their spawn? Soviets def have better BR I gear with access to 45mm cannons, but the starter tanks are autocannons and again brand new players barely have an idea of what is going on. This thing will let vets like us farm them extremely hard.

(Unrelated: KV-2 is my fav tank in the game, I even bought the premium one.)

Total overkill it dies instantly

Thank you! I’d test more myself if I knew how to navigate the Mod Editor better

I would also like to see these tests from further away. Grey zone vs tank spawn. Nobody with a brain will be driving their sIG right up to the enemy. Still need to see vs AT rifles and US M13 as well.

I do complain about KV2:

I think it’s too high br

But… @Dregomz just proved this instant that the weakest STARTER VEHICLES autocannons CAN take the SIG without effort. So… it’s a non issue…

I bet even 50 cal HMG from allies tanks can chew it out.

For KV-2 a topic suggestion changing it’s BR would help considering it is a KV-1 hull

I know you are right…

But… it fires so slow… I wouldn’t mind KV2 at br3…

At close range which is not realistic. If I was in the sIG, I will not be driving it up to the enemy, but shooting from the grey zone. Maybe T60 still works fine at that range, idk. Also need to see how PTRD does.

No idea how the M13 or Boys ATR does at any range. And it doesn’t change that the 150mm HE will be nuking any infantry or tanks when it does shoot. Vehicles aren’t just balanced around how easy they are to kill with other vehicles. The reason the Duck is in BR I is because it can pretty much only kill tanks. If it had HE rounds, it would get uptiered.

The tank has 20mm at most and the ammo rack in the rear has 6mm so distance wont matter at all.

No…
It’s because it’s so incredibly slow it struggles to take altitude… never mind when you try to turn with it…

I just reiterate: there’s more to vehicles than canon size/ shell power. So much more.

Yes this too, but if it had HE shots it would be uptiered. Because killing power is also a factor.
