More Teamplay

Yeah, voice chat won’t magically create teamplay. You need teamplay beforehand.

The developers of a game can never do anything about forcing players to use teamplay. I always try and support the team when i can however most others don’t do that.

Also yea it seems like a lot of the matches across the campaigns are bots nowadays. Then when there not bots people just leave the match.

If people don’t want to use teamplay and be a good sportsman they wont sadly most gamers nowadays just play for themselves and couldn’t give a shite about other people.

Simple fix: add a team chat.

there already is text chat
its just that noone seems to be using it

Who would want to use a chat that isn’t a team chat and that isn’t even visible?

if you are paying any attention its very visible-> bottom left corner
and from what ive sen it is team only

In all honesty I have seen no team chat so far and don’t even know how to use it if there is one. Considering the time that I spent on that game I couldn’t say that it requires to “pay any attention”. It rather requires a very dedicated search. Now imagine how the majority of casual players feel about that. Yes the absence of a real, visible, easy-to-use (T/Y) chat is the main problem.

Press Enter, the chat window in the left lower corner pops up, type whatever you want to tell your team mates, press Enter again. Isnt that easy enough?

You could take a look in the options/key bindings…

Cant fool me. Since you didnt check the key bindings like in my opinion most players would i am sure your “search” lasted around 1.3 sec.

i salute her for the service she did, in the call of duty  and people that only want rewards to help out should be ashame of themselves

Ive been thinking about that system asw many times that some kind of reward could be in order for people to start helping out marking things they see. But idk maybe. Battlefield had such system though that we got on tanks now but on troops and you got assistance. Could pehaps have something similar but within the area youre pointing at. But then comes the problem that people will spam that just for the points sake and so on. Could make it on troops asw but i dont like that they got an marker on them that people can follow around and are more found of the in general direction. Think its better just to leave it as an help tool for the team and if the team wants to shoot themselves in the foot so be it

Many factors here though, some are new and its to much to sink in and even just marking isnt even in their mind of something being able to do. Then theres others who only think about themselves and their progression. Then theres those in between and some over some below. What do i know rly when all comes to things.
What i do know however, when teamwork comes to play and people do what they are supposed to do and support each other. It becomes an unstoppable well made machinery and wins the games in an magic way. And if both teams does that, man you have yourself an really good experience of which i would call an good game

First I must say that if you have to look into key bindings to find the chat, there is already a problem. Most players will never do that, especially on a casual game.

The second problem is that you are wrong regarding the chat. When you press T a window opens. What is that window? Team chat? General chat? There is no way to know, it’s not written. I always assumed that this was general chat, therefore I wouldn’t use for obvious reasons.

And the last problem is that you can’t see it when playing as you are usually looking at the middle of the screen. Moreover it disappears so fast that you would need to press the chat key again to see what’s written.

This is the reason why we have the possibility to look it up. Its like a manual. If you want to know how something works but are too stubborn to take a look at the manual the shame is on you.

One could assume that it is team chat because a general chat in a competetive game makes no sense because 1. the opponent team can read what you and your mates are going to do and 2. would be abused to insult opponents.

Fair point, but everyone finds comfort in a playing style that suits them, for some it’s fast action shooting, for some is making sure the team has enough ammo and strategicaly placed spawnpoints, for some is bombing the hell out of troops and tanks from a plane, and for some is being a sneaky SOB sniper.
All of these roles have a place in the well oiled machine you mentioned, you wouldn’t storm a bunker with a sniper just like you wouldn’t snipe at long range with a smg. And i’m really trying not to turn this in a rant about snipers role so i’ll leave it at this: the team either works as a whole in which case all roles are equally important, or it’s every man for himself in which case you find players knifing the bell in the church while enemy troops are just outside.

lol fair enough but youre right all classes are hated for their reasons ^^ with all right. Think theres many tankers out there pretty frustrated about my AT soldiers as some others about Assaulters who are stabbing them in their comfy backs in split seconds as they clean the house  Its not like Tanks are popular either in that regard with their enormous firepower can hold back an whole team if not careful when they are well placed to support. To me its just all about how you approach things. If i run in the open if i see an tank ahead thats on me if i get killed as i took the risk and even risked my men in the squad

Since there is no time Tickets is also an thing to keep in mind for the attackers. Sure Zerg rush is an viable tactic but mostly against new players mainly and bots. But when youre up against an team that know what they are doing those tickets will go fast and not hold up due time

Agreed, flanking are totally pointless, most of the time the enemy bots will saw you
