I have recently been reminded of the event commando squads that have been given out in the “Silent Hunter” event, they were one of the best event squads as they got both an engineer who can build everything and an AT gunner who can carry any AT weapon as well as silenced SMGs and cool uniforms. Its been 2 years since they were given out and we still havent seen more event squads of this type so I made a list for all nations that dont have one.
Italian Bersaglieri
A regiment whose recruits were above average in physical prowess and endured intense physical training, they also had to qualify as marksmen, they fought in many theaters of war including the eastern front.
Equipped with the supressed Beretta M38 as their main weapon.
Soviet OSNAZ
OSNAZ saboteurs and infiltrators targeted collaborators, gathered intelligence and attacked supply routes behind enemy lines, they consisted of well-trained soldiers who have proven themselves in battle.
Equipped with the PPSh-BraMit as their main weapon.
American–Canadian First Special Service Force
An elite unit which had strict and physically demanding training, the unit is most famous for its constant and successful night raids in Anzio where they earned their nickname the “Black Devils”.
Equipped with the suppressed M1 Thompson as their main weapon.
Japanese Giretsu Kuteitai
A special unit that was used to drop behind the enemy lines to raid airfields at night, the commando units were deployed onto the airfield by crash landing their transports with no plans to extract.
Equipped with the supressed Type 100 SMG as their main weapon.

Some of these event weapons or unique uniforms should be available in the tech tree or premiums. Although, this would be a good idea for an event.

I disagree that they should be research tree. It’s best to keep unique rare stuff as events or Premium
For Japan they didn’t really issue any real camo uniforms like Germany. Any instance of camo was specifically hand made for special forces units so I think those should be for unique event/ Premium squads. I like regular Japanese troops looking regular

Looks good,but they would have to be seperate BRs.the beretta M38 isnt equal to the PPD bramit (which was already in game as a gold order gun),and the type 100 isnt equal to the thompson.Id like to see more events where the rewards for the different nations are spaced in different BRs so you could use X new thing without seeing X thing the other faction got (especially if there is a power difference,take the US and GE paratrooper event)
This is a different gun, its the PPSh-41 not the PPD-40, it can also use the stick mag to be at a lower BR.

Oh,I’m blind,thanks for pointing that out.I hope it has normal dispersion and recoil unlike the other stick mag PPSH if it’s added.good list though,looks like fun weapons to use if implemented.

Is there any evidence of the gun existing but a warzone photo?
So far I havent found anything concrete, but Japan did produce silenced nambu pistols which use the same cartridge as the Type 100 SMG so it would be very easy to adapt it for use on the SMG.
Both the silencer and gun were produced but they werent used together (?), so it would be ahistorical which is more than fine for Japan since the addition of the Ho-Ri.
Yeah but the issue is that if there’s no real photos of the gun prototype or not in ww2 they’ll most likely not add it
But also the nambu suppressor can be shot through but how you mount it is different you gotta put it over the barrel which is very much not happening on the Type 100 due to the shroud
