More racial diversity in character design

Since squads are conmected with historical units we can make a squad of black ppl and each soldier put there will get proper skin.
A bit weird but as long as it works it’s ok I guess.

Problem is that historical squads will probably go away. I’m 90% sure of that.

unironically, that’s such an italian thing to say.

anyway,

whether it worked for medics,

it did not worked out so well for the explosive spam,
the bipods
national AA ( even though we are slowly working there for both )

nor no restrictions putted on puches grenades.

so… i’m afraid it doesn’t always work as you believe.

Russia is really racially diverse.

Look it worked

Expo pack ZOE is nerfed
Granade trow is slowed down
Granade luncher are nerfed in ZOE and usage speed
All radio support attack can be avoided and countered

Bipods work now, yes with less dispersion on MG now they work, the only problem is the strange decision of how the recoil get reduced when you fix the gun

In the editor

They dont do it because they already nerfed explosive Granade of every type

:pizza:

The US Army was very heavily segregated and wouldn’t fully integrate until just before or Korea if I’m remembering correctly. Besides, Red Tails are already in as a Premium squad.

In my earlier post, I expressed the opinion that it lacks historical fidelity to have mixed white and black troops in a game set in WW2 because the US military segregated its troops by race until 1948.
However, my personal opinion is that I would like to see more African American troops in this game. This is because there are some black units that participated in combat missions. The 92nd Infantry Division, also known as the “Buffalo Soldier Division,” served in Italy, and the 24th and 93rd Infantry Regiments fought against the Japanese in the Pacific. Similarly, the 442nd, a Japanese-American unit, participated in battles on the Italian front and in eastern France.

If you could see them in the game, it would be a historically correct and immersive experience.
However, since the campaign per front will be eliminated in the future, I am wondering how the Black and Asian units of the U.S. Army will be implemented if at all. Buffalo Soldiers landing on Omaha Beach or the 442nd capturing Guadalcanal are a bit odd.

…Well, I personally am in favor of sacrificing some historical fidelity to improve game matching. So even if I saw black or Japanese-American troops in places where they did not exist in history, I would accept that as a fun historical IF.

BTW,The African-American gear setups seen in the Korean War were seriously cool, and I would love to be able to customize these looks.

I wouldn’t mind them as long as they are historical:

BUT

not as “we wuz hauptmanns and shiet”

On serious note, Germans could get something like Azerbaijani Legion
(Azerbaijani Legion - Wikipedia)

Or Turkestan Division

No they don’t.
Aiming angles are still bad (especially downwards) and recoil reduction doesn’t apply unless prone. True for all guns.
On the good side of things it’s easier to deploy than before and thank god for dispersion change.

(I checked this on saturday)

It would be cool if they added the 442nd infantry regiment as a premium unit for the Americans in the Normandy campaign.

Will they have the option for blue mohawks? If yes, i fully support that.

I cannot wait for my blue haired african americans to fight viet kong in berlin using 1941-75 equipment.

How can something be so cool and save the game ™?

I mean that’s no more ridiculous than War Thunder 1940s tanks getting matched against early MBTs and ATGMs. Gaijin replaces historical realism with historical fun realism, aka Simcade. Which like others here have already said, is already what Enlisted is with experiences players running entire lineups with full auto weapons.

Racial diversity in a WW2 game, seriously?

…yeah lets add “Jews, Blacks, Girls and Gay people” to the German army, that would totally improve the believability of the game.

What do you mean? Could you elaborate?

Simcade, as in as much realism as possible while taking some liberties to make the game more fair and/or enjoyable for the target audience. Idk if you are familiar with the “rule of fun” but it’s generalization to omit certain rules of a game or setting to better engage the audience that may not be looking to play “RAW” or rules as written. War Thunder does exactly this.

Sounds like common sense with a marketing slogan slapped on it.

I believe this only applied for some ethnicities though. For example, Chinese people were allowed to serve alongside white soldiers, however, Japanese people were segregated.

“About 75 percent of the Chinese Americans didn’t serve in segregated units, as did Japanese and Filipino Americans.”

It’s a term that’s been used for decades to describe games like Gran Turismo, Forza, War Thunder, and Arma. Not really a marketting slogan, it is a category of game.

Simulation Arcade = simcade

What on earth makes you think i disagree with the war thunder approach of totally ahistorical random whatever sells total arcade system? I just said i totally support it.

Because what you usually do when things are slightly wrong or not perfect right? Shit all over it, light it on fire and drive it off a cliff.

Blue haired african americans in sexy nun outfits fighting viet kong in a nazi moonbase. It’s what the community wants.

I really dont know why people are against other races being in the game.

Its not like you care about historical accuracy, and neither do the devs.

We got germans running around with MKBs, PZIVF2s in moscow, and soviets with AS44s/Federovs in Berlin, and soon we will have BT-7s in Berlin and King Tigers in moscow.

So you complaining about:

“oohOhooHh ThEy WerEnT oN tHe fRonTlines” is irrelevant, because the game isnt historically accurate anymore.

So just stop pretending you care about HA.
