Missing Bayonets

Recently the Beretta 1918 was finally given a bayonet, however there are many weapons ingame with non-functioning bayonets or bayonet lugs. Adding them would make these weapons more interesting, fun, and satisfying to use as well as more historically accurate - who doesn’t like bayonets?

The early and late models of the FG42 both have modeled folded in bayonets. Given the (far better) Type Hei Automatic Rifle has a bayonet and bipod, I don’t think the combination of an added bayonet and the existing bipod would be game breaking.

Additionally, the MKB42(H) was designed with a bayonet lug and has one ingame. This feature was nixed on later versions, as seen in its visible absence on the MP43 and STG44, so it would be nice to have on the MKB42 to accurately implement its unique features and make it stand out now, as currently it is mere filler on the way to the STG and this would give players more of a reason to use it.

There could very well be other weapons lacking bayonets ingame I am unaware of, if so please point it out so the developers can hopefully see it. Thanks for reading!

British Lanchester SMGs also lack bayonets, uses same Pattern 1907 bayonet as the SMLE (WW2 names are “'Bayonet, No.1, Mk. I” and “Rifle No. 1 Mk. III” respectively).

Also the M16 berthier had a sword bayonet but uses the same lugs as the lebel personally… I would still want the sick ass sword

The M1892 sword bayonet would be sick af (plus other berthiers can use it in the future)

Commenting for exposure, at first I thought this was going to be another “Buff the FG” post, but thanks for also keeping tabs on the other guns that need the option to mount their bayonets!

I actually think the MKB could use it more desperately than anything. While the FG could use too of course, and it’s silly it’s there but not functional, I really dislike how the MKB is such a unique in-development weapon, but lacks any of the features that make it unique. Right now it just functions as filler despite being so different. (It’d also be nice for the sniper version to get the same ROF as the normal version.)

We need a serious pass on balance and QoL as well as some new maps, but most people just want new guns and tanks, not taking in account the root problems, yesterday I made 3 post for mortar balance suggestions and most people did not care, nor have most people cared about my previous other balancing posts, I’m not saying my opinion is the best or anything, but the lack of attention to this types of posts compared to the “wish lists” posts is overwhelming

Agreed but on the bright side there have been some notable and quite major examples that were forwarded or have been implemented lately, like this, as well as the map feedback mega thread.
