Minimal Hud = Ultimate pro move

This is the best I’ve ever done with no HUD - one thing to note is how few times I died.

Don’t get me wrong, this is one of the rare ones. But it is possible to do a good job with minimal hud mode. And I love that!

First thing I do is check my map, set my waypoint and head forward.

Having no HUD forces me to pay attention to what’s going on

Fewer icons means I can see more of what matters, every window and wall is visible

Instead of looking for marks, I look for targets

The only surefire way to stay alive is to stick with teammates AI or otherwise

Where they go - fighting follows

and with minimal distractions - hone in one the kill

If you see people piling up - build ammo so they can fight back

because I pay attention to what I can actually see - i tend to kill a player before they can kill me, it allows me to focus on 1v1 properly

kill, rinse, repeat

with tanks I do find i need to open the hatch more, but i rarely pay the price

I can also spot tanks before they spot me

There are no hit markers, no names when you kill.

So you actually have to be close enough to get in and actually see them fall. If you’re close enough to see them, you’re close enough to get a good shot in.

Sometimes you must shoot from afar, it takes time to verify a kill.

Victory is always possible.

Not bad results, not amazing either. But satisfactory nonetheless.

I don’t want to be that guy but 4300 score in a 32 min battle is not that great. Maybe average

It’s not about the points my friend. It’s about having a good time, and winning in the process.

pros dont care about points

binded ADS and lean right together - takes some time getting used to, but I’ll never change back.

If you’re face to face, that little slip to the right can save your life.

In the 2004 US infantry manual, it states you should always take a position to lean right around an object, never left - it never said why, but I think it’s because we naturally incline to look to the right of an object (their left lean) so if I utilise that, I get that extra split second on a faceoff. This also bolstered the case to sacrifice lean left, which it does. You can lean left, but only in zoomed out ads, not normal ads, kind alike real life, if you never swapped your hands over - which again, in a real combat scenario that might be the case.

Try it, see what it does for you - if you enjoy it, use it - if not, then don’t.

As long as you’re having fun, that’s all that matters my friend!

No thanks, I’ve played Squad for 900 hours before getting Enlisted. I like my HUD thank you very much !

Heck I want to see it becoming better and more complex or at least more pleasant & convenient to use.

Game is way too fast to play without hud

Didn’t say they did, you’re just making shit up, lol

All I see is dumbass leaning.

Also that little slip to the right makes you priority target. Its like a beacon saying “pick me”

Even If I am already lining up a shot, if I see that in even my peripheral, instant snap to. That guy right there is a player, instant focus :stuck_out_tongue: (well at least thats how my target priority goes)

I play without it sometimes,

Feels good. Even tho i would like to set what I wanted to remove, and not everything besides pings.

Great screens and “story”. I have tried it a few times, but I wish there would be more individuell options to turn on/off each UI element. But after your post I will try it again.

its a totally different game all of the sudden, still as many have said before, reaching top of the scoreboard will be much harder.

The new update has improvements for the UI settings! There are a lot of new options but sadly they are a little buggy. Hopefully there will be a fix soon.
