I guess yeah, i can think situations where a bit of better turret traverse would be nice
sounds like a plan
for example:
a 3 star puma have a 11.9º/second turret transverse speed
a 4 star one have 14º
this one alone is huge on the batlefield.
same applys on all tanks.
on longer ranges, the -15% shot desviation makes you hit where you want without ajusting so much for the distance…
breaking and engine power and suspencion upgrades does also come into play on quick movements on the batlefield, as peeking behind a cover and lay a shot, your tank will bounce way less.

be sure you have your upgrade tree compleate first on the squad you wanna upgrade.
there are some discounts on the upgrades you can get ther = less silver orders you need to spend.

I noticed that in my twitch Puma which is fully upgraded. Felt a lot better than the normal 2 (?) star one
it is. its a max level puma 
same feel can be acchived on any other vehicle ingame.
but a reason i stated this on previous post:
if they dont release the same vehicles fully upgrades its always a IF on the part of worth upgrading them or wait for a possible batlepass / twitch drop vehicle.
we will never know… but either way. i think its worth.
btw i just compleated the batle pass:
we will earn 2x silver orders on 2 levels
just 56x4 for me… so yeah… upgrade all the vehicles

For OP
I don’t have MG42 yet but I used it quite extensivelly in practise mode and it seems that MG34 is better. Rpm difference is minimal (~12%) and its controlable. 75 round mag makes it even better
Moreover model of MG42 is poor and this gun was castrated from it’s rpms so it’s not that iconic to sacryfice performance for “aestetics”.
Ps.
Sights of MG34 are qiute well modeled for this gun, in most games they take 1/2 of the screen.
MG42 has cleaner sights, nothing sticking up blocking my view. Would probably prefer the 75 round MG34 for Berlin (more rounds is always better in this game) but I’m not even close to unlocking it.
