One thing is for sure the belt fed MG 34 and 42 MUST be Research tree. Don’t even think of making it an event or premium or even gold order
In fact the MG 08 seems more like an event weapon since it’s WW1 vintage

I really would like to see the MG-08/15 in the actual tech tree though. It would be pretty much identical to the Maxim-Tokarev and Browning 1919 in the Soviet and American Tech trees. 100 round portable MG (I wouldn’t call any of them “light”) based off the Maxim design.

The mg08 could be fired safely in a hip firing pose but how could we aim down the sight with it while standing? It’s imposs…

Not true at all. All you need is your squadmate’s shoulder and you can start shooting. It should be mechanics in the game let me use my bots as a meat shield that will also be used as a bipod stand.

MG42 with belt mags and optional telescopic sight would be pretty cool and unique. They could even add paratroopers with MG42
Imo it would be nice addition to engineers’ MG nest so it’s worth picking over HMG nest.
Problem is that other nations also need something and I’m not aware of anything similar.
