Just saying, there’s not a single long lasting Super Power that used the metric system
There are two types of countries. Those who use the metric system, and those who have been to the moon.
(I don’t remember where I first saw this, but I didn’t come up with it).

Yep. And we’re apparently putting a train up there some time soon too
In Japanese, we use the units “粍” and “瓲”.
No, we do not use them in modern Japan. This was used before 1945.
粍 is millimeter, 瓲 is ton.
If you play this game with Japanese UI, all Japanese weapons use this unit.
For a modern Japanese like me, when I saw it for the first time, it does not make sense.

What happens to an isolationist nation when you deal solely with the…Dutch? It was the Dutch right? Anyways, deal solely with them and then get busted open by the US. Wait, is it a short ton, long tonne, or metric ton? One’s correct- I mean American, one’s British, and one’s, well, metric
So why did you change from millimeter and ton in ‘45?
Japan started using millimeters only after it stopped its isolationism. But they chose to express it in kanji, millimeters, instead of the alphabet.
When they were trading only with Holland, they used the units of shaku and sun.
Huh. Interesting. Seriously though, which ton did ya’ll use?
This is the tong I use on a daily basis.
