The issue is that if you go and check out any of the TESTs on the fourms people point out endlessly about balance and such.
Which is majorly important, The merge will probably take 6-8 test servers until all is done, Hell we haven’t even tested the refunds for GE and such, That would be a HUGE issue if it was broken.
Now they want to Make sure we keep all our hats coats and pants.
They also wanted to test the B.R changes.
Following that they lastly wanted to make sure all was working as they had hoped.
TBH how I’d do it: Break the update into 3-4 parts
1: Perk rework system.
2: Tech tree.
3: Adding a B.R and match maker. Would it make issues? sure, But hey it would also allow testing and reworking. (And to keep match maker time low, have bot games be a thing for the time being.)
4: Merge of campagins.
And by then you got: Everything you needed done, You had time to work on other parts and fix other issues, As well as ensure the players are happy, Get the finished stuff out there.
The only way I’d see a way to fix this is to gift players stuff as we’ve had Months to get ready for the merge, Hell most people have the MP-717 and hard grinded whatever they wanted and now have nothing left to do but flat out wait for the merge. With my system there would be a reason to still play, To enjoy the new perk system, To also enjoy grinding the tech tree with campagins still.
