for anyone who has played men of war you know about this feature whe

re once you select a squad you get a visual prompt of the cover and positions said squad will take if you move them to that location, i think this feature can be very useful for the game regarding the control of your squad as the player will get a clear easy to read visual prompt of where your squad will stand, obviously this works better with cover as you can actively see if they get behind it or not with this visual prompt, also what way they are going to look at.
so summary:
by holding x you will get a visual prompt of your squad as pictured and it will move depending on where you are lookin at, not sure how to explain this better.
*you can look around while holding x and still have this visual prompt, until you find a good spot and then stop pressing x.
you can control the direction your squad is looking at this way as well.
*improve Ai so it makes better use of cover, this will also be easier with better player control actually telling the AI what and where to do and go.
I think this game needed to be built like a strategy from the ground up if they wanted AI squads to work. Not too sure if it’s possible to just shift to this in a live game. The other route would have been something like Brothers in Arms, but that may not be at all functional in an online environment.
Too bad they chose the third option: put players in as usual for FPS games and attach a bunch of dumb, useless and immmersion-breaking AI meatbags to them. At least it’s easy to do and doesn’t cost much, saving all the money to do nothing else with it…
