I’m currently learning Russian, so i can tell you the reason it doesn’t translate accurately is simply because many English words or phrases either doesn’t exist in the Russian language or has a different meaning.
Russian is also a very simple language and doesn’t use fancy words for emphasis.

I believe German was my first language, though some people claim I have spoken Serbian first as a child. Languages are fun, l know a bit of Russian, and starting to learn some Japanese, with some luck and enough torture from that darn evil green owl I might be able to speak 5 languages one day.

Propably gonna forget half my language skills in 5 years though, still, you can learn alot from different cultures, so its always worth it.

Canadian here, so you’d think English would be first…

But that’s not entirely true. Seems my ancestors came from France 400 years ago, so we use a very particular blend of French and English up here in Moose country.

I supposedly have a very endearing accent for the ladies south in the US of A. But I personally believe it’s really broken instead :sweat_smile:

I am Chinese and speaks Chinese, and Sichuanese( a dialect ), although I live in Shanghai, I cannot understand the local dialect. However, I speak fluent English. Also, I do speak a little French.
