Mauser M1917 Trench Carbine - Gold Order / Event Weapon

i don’t usually make lots of weapons suggestions as most of them are either introduced or already suggested, but there is one particular firearm that i would like to see in the game eventually at some point.
and that one is;

Main Suggestion

800px-M1917Trench

an oversized pistol!
also known as a carbine.

in short, is like a german m1 carbine.
except it holds 40 rounds ( unless they go for the 20 round version )

( the one in the video is… slighty different. but either will do imo )

why would you ever want one of these

well, i think germany doesn’t have many carbines to begin with.
so perhaps a rare exception behind a battle pass or an event and eventually be obtainable through silver boxes could be this one.

ideal for light weight firearms.

honestly, i’m not sure if it should go as a multiclass " carbine " or as a tertiary type of firearm weapon ( like the M712 full auto pistol, or the artillery drum luger.

but it’s kinda up to developers.

and, it kinda looks cool.
at least… in my opinion.

of course, not a "NeeDed GUn NoW! "
but i think a potential candidate to suit for an eventual gold order or event weapon.

and yes, there are probably different iterations or more appealing guns.
but i chose this one… for a change.

it was either this, or the automatic sturmgewehr. but i have no proof of that thing ever existing beside a single picture.

and… the stgs already exist so…

If I am not mistaken it never left the prototype stage and there is no known surviving example

This photo is starting to irritate me…
The fully automatic VG 1-5 - MP 507, since it is a prototype, should look like the early versions of the VG 1-5, while the weapon in the photo is a late production model, which does not even have differences in the fire selector. The photo is simply a VG 1-5 with an additional front grip. Moreover, there is a video with this weapon.

thanks for the info.

so the real automatic VG 1-5 were the memories we made all along :joy:

with that being said, i can still see it’s way in enlisted.

given that the last japanese bp rifle was fiction too.
… just like the ho-ri concept too.
… or the halloween chars.

No. The fully automatic VG 1-5 was and was designated MP 507 and was tested. However, the designer was asked to remove the fully automatic rate of fire (it is quite obvious that the Volkssturm soldiers handled the weapon worse and automatic fire would be difficult to handle, moreover, Germany had huge problems with production, including ammunition, and semi-automatic fire allows you to save ammunition). Although we do not have photos of the MP 507, most likely it is just an early VG 1-5 with one more position on the fire selector.

If only we got ppsh suppressed.

As an ex BFV player I have a question, in the game the Trench Carbine has an upgrade where it can fire automatically. Will it be a full auto or semi-auto?

I like it. As well as Mauzer Chinese arsenal with a bigger caliber lmao)

to answer in short to your question, semi auto.
because the one in the picture does not have a fire selector.

personally, my idea was to replicate DOI C96 M1932 trench carbine. which was automatic.
but i’m not too sure if such a thing actually existed either as the game wiki says it was an hybrid.

personally,

no.

i think the trade off is the larger magazine as shown in the picture.

but at some point, they could make an additional model with just the 20 round mag and a scope :+1:

i just dont think an automatic VG1-5 really has a place in enlisted, wouldnt it just literally be a shitty STG at that point? at least the horn STG is visually interesting

perhaps a more… compact stg?

sure, classify it as an SMG instead of an AR so tankers, pilots, and APC drivers can use it and now I could see the MP507 having a valuable use, of course give it worse stats from a proper STG since its cheap volkssturm trash

but yes, that was the alternative i was thinking.

I personally thought it should be an SF rifle like the Gewehr 43 8mm Kurtz. But I don’t see a problem with it being an SMG.

you mean SF rifle?

Yes, thanks for catching my mistake
