The gold players still destroy everything… the whole system should be reconsidered.
I really want to know what you people mean by it when you keep talking about “the gold players” - Considering the people who have that mark, are literally just people who played a lot this season.
It resets every couple months. It has no relation to equipment or skill, besides “gold players” being less rusty because they are currently active. Literally everybody gets “gold rank” with enough games, and it doesn’t even take that long. You talk about how they “ruin the game” but these people are the only ones playing it.
I am a lover of the Normandy Alliance side, but Normandy is really bad these days.

Gold Players are usually stronger. I think. They play regularly and therefore have more experience and better equipment. Often they also buy premium equipment. A Gold Player with the rank of Marshal must also perform accordingly to avoid being dropped from the rank. I think that gold players are stronger. Of course what you say is true. A good player who still plays casually (and is only silver) can also be good. But if you look at such screenshots (from TovarishToNy), it speaks a clear language.
What I am saying is, any active human player achieves gold rank given time (and not even that long). Winning a game OR getting a medal of any kind increases your rank. It is not difficult to get one medal per game, need to be afk for that to go wrong. “Gold rank” comes automatically. You can theoretically drop rank, but in practice, nobody does that I’ve seen. You’d have to play worse than the bots. When there are no “gold ranks” on your team, you most likely do not have a team.
As some have pointed out, bots can have gold rank as well, but not nearly as often as the real players.
