So I’m noticing some real problems with match making. My Matchmaker says BR I-II (all my guys and gear are Tier I) and yet I’m being placed into games with Tier IV weapons and tanks. What is up with that?

check the squads. I had a strange bug when it showed the squad was BR4, but all the equipment was BR2. Maybe you have the opposite.

Ooops you are right. My bad. German smg naming is always confusing for my brain.
I have only once been dropped into a level five match when I thought I was playing with level one Squad’s. It turned out that I had re-equipped my medic squad with Kiraly’s to use in a level five match, but they were saved as one of my level one squads and I had forgot to change their weapons back. So, not paying attention when I clicked start and quickly being vaporized by level five weapons, figured out something was a miss. That was officially user error. 
Here is the squad I’m using. I’ll try to get a picture or replay next time it happens.

Last game this happened was my M5 Stuart against a Panzer IV H which wasn’t a fair fight at all

Doesn’t appear that you made the same mistake I did as all your squads say level one. 
Mine was easy to diagnosis when I went back and say one level five squad in my level one lineup, then realized I had not switched their weapons back. So, not that I am great using the video replay expert, but you might want to watch the replay and see what this dude was using, then you can report it if you like.
What squad is this? It’s one I don’t have.
These are my level one squads. Pretty much all medic or assaulter squads as I am not good with the rifle, except for the sniper rifle. I have more squads available because I bought additional slots so I wouldn’t have to have premium to fill them, so I have nine total.
Is it an older event squad, or one found in the mystery box?
Old event sqaud, and it’s in the magic box I believe.
Was always a BR 2 squad but the Sten was recently lowered from BR 2 to BR 1.

Damn, I’m not much of a gambler and all I do is get hosed with the mystery box. Of course, I have only played it I think 5 or 6 times total. The best thing I won was 1,000 silver, and I won that twice, one name change order and I think a couple decorator’s which are meaningless for me. Yup, I paid 10,000 silver to win 2,000 silver, not a great investment. 
Right now I have been disbanding all my level one rated soldiers and replacing them with with the highest rated ones I can get, so, I actually have a use for my silver. If I didn’t then I guess I wouldn’t care flushing it down the toilet in the mystery box. However, I am only playing 5 or 6 games a day now and no premium so the silver is not coming as fast as it used to.
