Well, there are grenade launchers and flamethrowers.
I would also argue that the Panzerfaust and M9 are a bit overkill for tanks that can still be penned by the PTRS.
they are missing those yes. But they have also been neutered enough to not be in the meta, nor a required tool
Could not agree more. ±0 would be ideal, but obviously that isn’t something that will happen overnight. When/if it’s possible to be implemented, I agree, BR1 should be the first to receive the ±0 treatment.
This doesn’t matter, as many new players don’t even shoot at enemy rally points.
TT apc’s should be moved to BR1 and new apc’s should be introduced for BR2 and higher BRs, armored APC’s armed with MG’s.
I dont know if I agree with that entirely, however tbf there is a lack of info for new players, like I know when I was a new player, I thought I had to manually hold j or use explosives to destroy enemy rallies.
So I think yet again, an actual and in depth tutorial is needed, perhaps one with scripted moments of gameplay to allow new players to understand both the markers and general information of the game.
When I was new, I used to destroy them all with J and wonder why it was so stupidly slow XD.
You are absolutely right, but unfortunately it is already in the game.
Hehe I love running up to players that are dismantling the Rally point, shoot it in front of them and then watch them realise.
PZ III N will be on my nigthmares until i reach the KV-1 which i dont think it will be soon since i better play war thunder since i see it as a more cool game…
BR 1 is very rough for Soviet newbies (all newbies really) because uptiered ALOT (BR 2 is so popular. I have/had 3 new mates start completely from scratch as Soviets and seemed like every game was BR 2 Panzer 3N and automatic spam against their mosins lol
If you can stick it out long enough to reach Winchester, PPS, Bazooka and T-28E all is well. (they didnt stick it out…having a break)
My observation of BR 1 is that too many Vets are playing there which makes it tougher for new players, especially since my BR1 Allies and Germans use four of five smg squads in each, which for the basic newbie trying to play with one medic squad and the rest rifles, makes it a little tougher. That being said, I rarely play BR1, usually BR2 with Germans, Allies and Soviets, BR3 with Allies and BR5 with Germans and Allies.
BR1 and BR5 should be stand alone BR levels. But then, what do you do with BR2? BR3 and BR4 would be fine if merged together, and although BR2 can play in BR3, I’d prefer not, however, if we can’t have a 0/0 which at this point DF should just do since it will never have enough players, then BR1 and BR2 should be together, BR3 and BR4 should be together and BR5 by itself. No soft rule, no bullshit of BR1 or BR2 every facing BR3, and BR3/BR4 NEVER facing BR5. Is it ideal? No, only 0/0 would be ideal, but DF is never going to give us ideal, they’re going to do what they want and we just have to accept it.
Maybe what they need is a BR0, for new players, and you stay in BR0 until you’ve completed all the BR1 tech tree, then they can move to BR1, and not be able to move to BR2 till the BR2 tech tree has been completed. Just a thought. TBO, maybe that is how all the levels should be, you don’t move up because you unlocked ONE higher level weapon, change it so the entire tech tree level is unlocked before that player can move up. I would exclude tanks and planes for this and just tie it to infantry weapons like MG’s smg’s and rifles.
Well thats the same thing as just making BR 1 ±0…just without making a new BR
I’ve said it before.
Playing low BRs should have negative modifiers towards income (this modifier could shouldn’t affect freshly created account for specific period of time, for example 3 months) + you shouldn’t be able to participate in events.
BR1 doesn’t supposed to be popular. That’s why there are no APCs, MGs and some other more gimmicky classes.
But I agree BR1 should have ±0 MM.
Yeah, but I would make BR 0 strictly rifles, no smg’s, no semi auto’s, and also isolate it so that once you get your level one tech tree completed, you can no longer play level zero, so, it isolates newbies to playing newbies, no vets would be able to crash the party. Of course, I guess if you just isolated it, they could use smg’s, IDK, newbies need to learn how to play with them as well.
I dont think any of the BR 1 smgs are particularly oppressive (thats just an opinion). The best ones have very small magazines.
And its a bit of extra flavour when starting out.
I might add though that all Boltaction rifles with less than 10 rounds should be BR 1 (probably just bolt actions in general)
Agreed. A level 0 could be considered a training level that people need to pass before moving on. This would be a great place to incentivize the building of rally points, that they have to build X amount of them before they can advance to level one along with completing the level one tech tree. But once they obtain the rally point numbers and complete the last tech tree, they are automatically moved on to level one and no longer can play level 0. This will ensure that newbies are always playing newbies.
IDK, Dark Force excuse for everything we try to push is not enough players, and the player count continues to dwindle, so, I don’t see them doing anything to help us in any BR rating.
Would be helpful if the game was clear about what is an apc, what is a map transport and what is a stationary prop
Completely, yet again a comprehensive tutorial is needed, something which would be super easy to do but DF/gaijin refuses to do.
