Make grenade launchers useful again

Pretty much all Firearm based grenade launchers functioned like pseudo-mortars, but for the sake of the game it wouldn’t make much sense to make GL be Mortar class

That would mean having Mortar being an upgrade in pretty much every squad if we want to maintain the ability of having GL in every squad. The Mortar squad works fine as is with the standard Mortars being strategic weapons. It trivializes the Mortar if they’d only ever be used for GL

But what would you include in it?

I don’t agree that it’s the best choice — with the grenade launcher I was actually stronger than machine guns in close combat, because I could fire a shot and immediately take cover.
