Some time ago I watched some video on YT - “Is Enlisted a Russian Call of Duty ?” (“da li je ovo ruski Call of Duty?”) and I was thinking - NO.
Enlisted will NEVER be a Russian Call of Duty.
Why ? Because the game in CoD was very simple - two teams (Allies vs Axis) fight each other and the first team who reach 100 / 200 / 300 kills wins the round.
Therefore a player needs to run across the map, search for enemies… sometimes be patient and wait.
In Enlisted kills are not that important. All what is important to cap the objective. Team who will place more bots in the house or bunker will win the game - no matter at what casualties.
My proposition is to add new game mode - “Annihilation”.
Rules are simple - no objectives, just one big map and all rules are allowed.
After a certain time (20- 25 min) team who will reach better score / more kills wins the round.
And i’m glad it’s not a Call of Booty, i want more objective types with more dynamic maps not a devolution into yet another lazy TDM mode with a clowns just running around like headless chicken that will dilute and divert player pool even more from the main game. Want COD then play cod and countless clones of that game Enlisted is an objective based game with vehicles no way in hell they would implement it into the game. You have custom games for those modes so better open up the editor and make it yourself.
Classic team deathmatch is called CoD mode nowadays.
I guess everything that has been implemented in CoD series at one point, is like heresy to certain people.
I think it would be nice to at least try it. Fighting over small objectives over and over again really isn’t that thrilling. I like idea of mode without them.
Please, just don’t call it Hell Let loose mode. Don’t give them a reason to send you play another game.
I think experimention with new game modes is definitely needed. They could simply introduce them in events. Would be more welcoming than just FOMO grinding traps or 1. April jokes.
But we all know they would implement all of them, including unpopular ones. And never having ambitions to make them work in Enlisted environment (just like with train escort and conquest).
Artificially increasing number of daily playing players by FOMO events is way more comfortable for them. Sadly for Enlisted, that’s not how to sustain healthy live service game.
